Spectacular Sunday lunch with family and friends last week. Ordered the family sharing platter which was out of this world...the beef in particular was amazing. Wine choice is broad but discerning and includes something for everyone. Service is friendly and discrete. Will definitely be going back!

Sunday 27th November had the most fantastic Sunday roast sharing plater (min 6 people, pre book only). The meats tender and succulent, vegetables fresh and perfectly cooked, roast potatoes crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy in the middle and the Yorkshire puddings enormous and delicious finished with a fabulous gravy. Selection of mini puddings to finish all of which... More

This is a very nice country pub, with a warm friendly atmosphere. Our waitress Lauren was lovely, nothing was to much trouble, she went above & beyond to make sure we had a great night. Food & service excellent. Highly recommend this pub/ restaurant.

Visited for Sunday Lunch with family. The roast beef was cooked medium and was delicious. However the roast potatoes were overcooked and hard. Yorkshire Pudding was very large. Great starters would recommend the cheese souffle. Staff very attentive and friendly

OK, it's called 'The Old House' and you should expect a degree of 'character' in its period construction. The ceiling in some parts of the building is so low that even the shortest adults could reasonably expect to need to take evasive action! That said, the food and service was really good. The Scotch Egg starter was delicious - loads... More

Went here recently with 10 of us. As there were so many we pre-ordered which was great as there were young children and their food came out quickly. Food was good but the portions could do with being a bit bigger and maybe a bit more veg! All in all a good gastro pub that caters well for families.

I used to frequent the old house in Copthorne quite regularly, unfortunately the restaurant now has new owners and they have decided that they wish to take the restaurant into appealing to a different type Setting the new restaurant is cheaper than the old one was as this was a special occasion or money was not the primary reason for... Nice and close to Gatwick and a lovely place. Was quiet on a Monday night but service was efficient and food was very tasty. Quite pricey but you could tell it was all homemade and the menu was interesting. I had the beetroot gnocchi which was really nice. Light, tender gnocchi and a tasty cream sauce. Could have done with... More

We decided to stay here instead of the bland hotels at the airport and because it was so close to CopHall Farm Parking, less than 100 metres. It provides a different experience with unusual rooms and excellent food. The staff were efficient and friendly. The bed was very comfortable. We would highly recommend this hotel. Although if you like a... More

We came back to the old house on Tuesday for a bite to eat.. for lunch. How the place has changed, rude staff, casually dressed in coats.. ( think they wanted to leave before us. ) food bland and uninviting, casually thrown on the plate. The restaurant/bar untidy. Napkins piled up on a table waiting to be folded, which the girl...
