Went here for lunch and was almost dissappointed. The area must have been run down so i ended up going back to the restaurant to eat. I couldnt get through to the lovely waiter who offered me local wine. My food order took way too long - due to language misunderstanding. not a place i would return in a hurry

The place looks quite cosy since it's on the village square. We haven tasted any food, just drinks, but everybody around us seemed to enjoy their time there. And the staff were very nice and polite.

A car is needed to get to the village as the bus only goes there once a week or a long walk/climb up the mountain. It is well worth it The village is very flowery with excellent views of the sea. and this taverna is situated in the traditional village square under the shade of a vine

Charming villiage square restaurant serving traditional Greek food using lovely fresh produce. Go on a Friday night and watch the town spring to life. If you are lucky a plate if yoghurt and cherry compote may be given to you to enjoy

Vourliotes is a charming little mountain village, and the square is so beautilful and idyllic. On the blue chairs you can get the best fresh orange juice.

The Blue Chair was in the main village Square in Vourliotis, Samos, Greece. The village was halfway up a mountain, and the taverna was in the middle of the village. We had an apartment below the restaurant, and had a short, but a slightly steep walk to the Square. We got much fitter that week. The taverna was owned by... More

This restaurant is one of relatively many options in Vourliotes and absolutely charming with blue chairs and local freshly-made food. We had some chickpea balls that were very tasty and crispy, as well as a good portion of tzatziki. The local beer Mythos was cold and refreshing. I would definitely visit this place again.

We have visited Samos 3 times now and discovered Blue Chairs when out walking. This year, we actually stayed in the village for a few days. The food and service were excellent - so good in fact, we didn't eat anywhere else during our stay. We particularly liked the mixed plate of vegetarian goodies washed down with a jug of... More

I've been to Samos 14 times since 2001. I found this restaurant about 5 years ago while hiking. I still go hiking every year and now make it a priority to stop in Vourliotes just to eat at blue chairs. This year I tried the bacon wrapped chicken livers. It was absolutely amazing. Baked feta with tomatoes was also great.... More
