It is now called the Nowhere Craft Chocolate and Coffee Roastery, with the same owners focusing just on coffee and bean to bar chocolate. (No baked goods.) We had an excellent espresso and mocha there, and enjoyed the freshly made bean to bar chocolate to...snack on and give as gifts. There are solid dark chocolate bars as well as chocolate with inclusions such as almonds, ginger, chai spices, cacao nibs, etc. There is hot chocolate too to drink or buy. We really appreciated the minimal packaging to help protect the environment. Such a treat to find such high quality chocolate and coffee along the highway in a sparsely populated non-urban area! Worth a stop to check out! Refuel your tastebuds here!More

When we stopped in we’d been on the road for over six weeks and were once again getting low on coffee beans. I bought the dark roast and it’s been the best coffee of the trip so far. It runs beautifully through our espresso machine...and produces rich complex espressoMore

We stop here as often as we can (which honestly is only once or twice a year). Nice hot drinks to keep you going on the road, and amazing baked goods. Their tarts are delicious, pies are fantastic, and calzones are delightful.

Hubby and I both got meat pies. They aren't the type with meat chunks and veggies. They have spiced ground meat inside. They were so good. We inhaled them. We each had a tart. He had a maple butter tart and I had a lemon...tart. Both were excellent. I wish I could make pastry like theirs. It's thin and flaky and crisp. This isn't a fancy place. The baking looks basic but tastes high-end. I had a latte and it was the first really good cup of coffee I've had in days of traveling across Ontario. Stop in and get something - even if it's for later (like the ginger molasses cookies I will eat after dinner :)).More

Positives-tarts delicious and well priced Cons- one girl working cash , then has to stop and make every tedious coffee drink. Very very slow moving line, so that was frustrating. Sandwiched were good. Iced coffee was terrible. Had a very odd taste Calzones we’re ok…....Filling was very minimal.More

Got an excellent French press coffee while driving through Vbay on my way to Winnipeg. Ive gotten fussy about my coffee over the years so I was very pleased that they took so much care and attention into making a proper cup for me. There...was also a case full of baked goodies I had to try very hard to ignore.More

During a trip across northwestern and northern Ontario we found that many businesses were closed due to COVID-19 precautions. We were thrilled to discover the Comfort Table Bakery & The Middle of Nowhere Coffee Roastery. I had noticed it as we passed through Vermillion Bay,...Ontario, on our way east, but it was late and the business was closed, so I kept my eyes open two weeks later when we were passing through the area on our way home. Located on Hwy 17 it is an easy find for travelers. I was really craving a great cup of coffee and I wasn't let down. We tried their Dark Blend and I have to say that it was the best cup of coffee that I had had in over two weeks! We also bought some of their baked goods and had to be careful to show some self control - the ginger molasses and oatmeal chocolate chip cookies were amazing! Thanks for the pleasant surprise and wonderful offerings. They had many other take out options available. We also bought a bag of Dark Blend and a bag of Sumatra Mendheling dark roast coffee and were very pleased with the brew at home. The prices were reasonable. The coffee is prepared in a french press, so make sure to give yourself a few minutes to stop - its worth the wait. The storefront is set up well for COVID-19 precautions.More

If you are in the area and need a coffee...this is the spot! The cookies and baked goods are wonderful. I don’t recommend the toasted bun....nothing special. Everything else is delightful. It’s a gem of a spot for any coffee lover.

We stopped here on a fishing trip to Canada. We arrived at 11:30 and only two other people were there. By noon every seat was taken. They had fresh baked goods including tarts, cookies, bread, and many more. There was a wide variety of items on...the menu including sandwiches, quiche, salads meat pies and breakfast items. If there for lunch or later be sure to try the fries, super good and a whole plate full. We were very pleased with the quality and taste of what we ordered. Nice place in Vermillion Bay. I noticed that there were several locals there which says it is good because they would not support it if it wasn't .More

We stopped in for a coffee break while travelling on the highway. What an excellent place this is! The coffee was superb and made individually, with several beans and roasts to choose from. The treats we tried were lemon tart, cranberry pecan tart, and date...squares, all very good home baked items. It was so nice to have tarts that weren't loaded with sugar; the lemon was nice and tangy! It is a small cafe and the coffee takes a few minutes to make, but it is worth any wait or lineup that you might encounter. Comfort Table is definitely a "must-stop"!More
