I've been reading about Belmont town restaurant and Catering for a while now. When we got there, we were not even sure where the entrance was. It isn't a fancy place for sure. Once inside it looked pretty busy, as it isn't a large place....We were taken to a table asked about drinks and told we could go to the buffet. There were a huge number of items to choose from. I should have looked around first, before piling up my plate. My husband really enjoyed the food. The price is right. It was a bit of a mob at the register, while it was the peak of mealtime. We really enjoyed it, however I think we might try it earlier in the day next time to avoid such a crowd. Worth a try for sure.More
Words cannot describe the quality of the meal for the low cost. There was anything there from roast beef, pork, chicken, fish and to much more to exclude in the list. The taste was wonderful and the service was great. We will be back for...sure. Thank youMore
Words can't day enough. From the first hello to the food to the staff all are amazing. We went in for brunch and to see what they offer for a wedding reception dinner. We ate and chatted about what was available to us. From the...first bite it was sealed deal. We of course picked our wedding meal and midnight buffet. When the time came for our meal to be served the staff were amazing even surprising my wife with a salad that she could eat due to her lactose intolerance. The food was superb. Everyone asked us after who catered the meal and were in love with it. We love going in from bruch and dinner. Food is Always fresh, atmosphere is a family setting and everyone is friendly. To the staff my hat is off. We will be back with more first timers. Thank you ever so much. Keep up the great job and foodMore
my wife and I enjoyed visiting this restaurant on a busy mother's day evening. the wait was not too long--about 30 minutes--which we were advised when we asked for a table for 2. it was worth the wait!!! a buffet of hot, cold foods, various...salads, including the heart-stopping dessert table invited us to over-indulge. everything was delicious but remember to quantify your selection to smaller portions as you will eat more than expected. enjoy the food and family service here.More
Hearty home cooked food is what you find here. Only Saturday and Sunday but makes the weekend something to look forward to. Ham, Turkey, beef, pork, ribs, chicken and baklava! I am a guest almost every weekend.
Arrived just after noon on Sunday it was fairly busy but still about 20 empty seats Was taken past the first empty table because they said there was a cold draft went by 4 more empty tables to be seated beside an outside door. talk...about a cold draft. Asked for water with lemon and went to the buffet. Returned & ate my first plate before the water arrived. The roast beef ham and peameal were tasty especially liked the horse radish. didn't try the chicken but it looked good I am just not a fan. Pasta was good as was the shepherd's pie several kinds of potatoes Tried several deserts but the cheese cake plate was empty. Went to wash my hands as they got sticky from the deserts when I returned all my cutlery had been removed but they did leave my empty water glass It should have been evident I was not leaving as my coat was still on the back of my chair. Did leave a tip but probably should not have. If only the service was as good as the food My rating is based more on how I was treated not on the quality of the foodMore
4 of us went for the Sunday Buffet, and really got our fill. Cheap great food. Tight eating area. Nothing special of the building exterior or interior but I went for the food, not the looks. Around $15.00 per person. Only open Saturday and Sundays....Breakfast and Supper Buffets are offered. We did make reservations but not mandatory.More
Arrived about 12:30 for brunch was seated promptly ordered water with lemon the slice of lemon could have been a lot thicker, Went to the buffet beef chicken ham peameal bacon sausages and regular bacon & turkey all were good horseradish was great would have...liked some cranberries for the turkey. several pasta dishes cabbage rolls potatoes 5 ways perogies and several vegetables Eggs scrambled fried and poached I had poached but they were hard cooked I like mine with runny yolks french toast and pancakes & 2 soups but I did not try them. lots of salads. Three kinds of cheese cakes and 3 kinds of pie would have liked some whip cream fot the pumpkin pie Only 2 flavours of ice cream chocolate & vanilla I would have liked cotton candy o& Tiger both only come in 11 L tubs so hard to get at home unless you have lots of freezer space. Got my hands a little stick went to wash them when I got back my place had been cleared of all my cutlery would have liked to try the rice pudding it looked good. It is a bit of a drive for me may come back and give it another try but will keep a close watch on my knife fork & spoonMore
If you have not been there this is a place you should try. The food is great and the story behind its beginning is amazing.
Very basic surroundings, no frills but the food is amazing !!! Sunday lunch will keep you going until the middle of the following week !
The food is unreal! There is too much to choose from, the roast beef is incredibly delicious, the roasted chicken is scrumptious , then there are breakfast items like both fried eggs and scrambled, then there is lasagna and potatoes au gratin plus salad items...a plenty! The staff are so accommodating and so welcoming. Went for the Sunday buffet, it was busy but very good atmosphere and everyone was so nice. The price is way below what you should be paying so even if you just eat a couple of items, you are paying well worth for the food you are eating. Definitely worth checking out, and I will be going back again! Thanks for the amazing experience!More
Friends told us about this little place and we decided to go together. They assured us, that even though it didn't look like much, that it was well worth the trek to Belmont. They were CORRECT! This place has a shabby decor, nothing fancy, but...who cares when the food tastes as good as this? Certainly not us. The selection is unreal: roast beef, turkey, ribs (pork and beef), and ham. Huge salad bar. Soup. Potatoes (fried, mashed, scalloped, roasted). Vegetables: roasted, raw, stuffed into a pepper. Something for everyone. The price is also un-beatable. We will surely be making the trip back to Belmont again to revisit the best buffet we've encountered in a long while.More
Always a variety of meats, vegetables, salads, rolls , desserts..just so much to choose from. Staff are friendly and helpful. A bit crowded in the seating but has a comfortable homey feeling. Great value. You never leave hungry. Have been to catered events by this...restaurant and the same is true...really fresh ingredients in salads, vegetables and the meat melts in your mouth. Never disappoints...More
Remember the good old times?- savor them here. The buffet choices are simply outstanding - Gorgeous Roast Beef, Stuffed Peppers, Cabbage Rolls, Spare Ribs, Meatballs and more plus scalloped potatoes, roasted potatoes and mashed. Salads galore, and the pastry included pies and baklava. This is...so like old time buffets where you really get a lot for so little (13.95). Breakfast runs into Dinner around 3-4:00pm. The simple interior has long tables and everything is so very clean. It is open Saturday and Sunday. The exterior of the building looks unpretentious as a restaurant and you enter with only a little side door into a vast room with personable workers to assist you and one of the finest tastiest buffets anywhere. Go and enjoy and you will go back - I know we will. It's a secret but tell everyone. Last but not least these people are very, very successful caterers. Sincerely, ShawNMore
