An Italian Pizza and Pasta in a beautiful sunset view... if you are nature LOVER you may drop by at Mamamia Lapaz, Tibiao Antique... From Boracay escapade you may use this route from Caticlan to Antique or Iloilo airport...and enjoy the amazing view of the...large sea, the beautiful stone and peebles along the long way beach. You have a choice to enjoy at Tibiao the Traditional Kawa in and enjoy river attractions designed by the locals that most tourist will surely LOVE and ENJOY...The best in the Mamamia is the VIEW of the sunset which is vibrant and jibe with the shades of the coconut tree leaves, wavy crystal like blue sea, and the romantic shapes and curves of the Mararison and Batbatan Islands. It is interesting to patiently watching the pastel colors of the skyline that align with the rays of the sun going down the sea. Like Mamamia Pizza and their pasta is really unique on their taste and above comparable with famous pizza here in the country. Pizza, Pasta, and the beautiful scenery of the place, that makes Mamamia a must-try!More

My wife and I stopped in at this Restaurant on our return trip from Aklan. We ordered a 16 inch pizza and added black olives as an extra ingredient, the pizza arrived quickly but without the olives and the waitress could not remember us asking...for the olives. The pizza was very good and although I see some people saying that it is overpriced, you get what you pay for, yes I have seen cheaper pizza's but the ingredients are also lacking, so for me the price is fair. Nice location right on the beach, friendly staff and easy parking, we will be back!More

We really put up an effort getting pizzas from this resto. It was around 20-30 minutes drive from the kawa place in Tibiao. The set up is not really what you expect a pizza place would be. It was beside the highway so it was...easy to find. Once you get inside you have beach front view pronto. I was really entertained too since I got to see the staff prep the pizza in their kitchen. They had an open window where you get to see them but I was too ecstatic amd watched them from the kitchen entrance and did a little interview.😂😂😂😂 It was not too oily like fast food pizzas we got used too. It saddens me that I just had to give 4 stars to this place since we ordered three different pizzas yet they all tasted the same. The ingredients were very similar with one pizza from the other ,such as the base sauce of course, they just either added or removed one ingredient. It logically is quite odd to think that by just adding a specific cheese for example would cost you another 400 or so. The prices were reasonable being around 400 to 600 since the serving size is filling. Just try it when you have the chance to, it a good break from the usual pizzas served here and so unique in a province such as Antique.😊More

It is a very nice place. Clean and well laid out. There are a number of Bahay Kubo (bamboo huts) outside which give an excellent view of the sunset. Staff were helpful and knowledgeable. However, it is way overpriced. It seems that a 15 inch...pizza has been rolled out to make the thinnest crust in the world. The food was tasty but far from good value for money and is clearly aimed at the tourist market and not the local residents. It is obvious that it has been a large investment but maybe the owner is trying to recoup his outlay too quickly. My friends told me the prices have doubled in 2 months! I suspect it is not registered with the authorities because they were unable to supply a proper receipt.More

I stand corrected on where this quaint authentic italian resto gets its ingredients. Talked to the owner tonight trying not to think of the movie Letters to Juliet everytime I hear his accent and boy was I in for a surprise. I wasn't exaggerating on...the previous review when I said it brought Italia to Antique because it really has. Ingredients like cheese and meat, etc are flown in from Italy. Yes, seriously. Blocks of gorgonzola, salami, mozzarella and loads of parmesan, pancetta and other ingredients get here in about 1 1/2 days from yes, you got right: the land of fiercely passionate people when it comes to food and supercars and fashion week and everything you can think of that's symbolic of Italia. Last night was ragu and capricciosa. Tonight we had aglio oglio which btw was a sleeper hit, arrabiatta, hawaiian and pizza jack which was a surprise because I hate capers and olives. That was then. I am a changed person. That and having it For 2 nights in a row, need I say more? Well, maybe except for this: When in Antique, pizza and pasta nights ought to be here. Anywhere else is an abomination.More

This is as italian as you can get in Panay. If you're looking for a sweet chain-store type pizza, they offer none of it here. This isn't my first visit so I have reason to believe they might have adapted some of their ingredients to...suit the pinoy taste and a few for sustainability reasons but taste and portion sizes are a hit. You should expect to pay twice the price for a pie but no, just pacify yourself for the bargain of a great pizza you got for a few bucks. They're using local ingredients too. They get their mozarella in blocks, farm-produced from a nearby province (that's what I took from the conversation I had with their staff). And did I forget to tell you about the young girl who flips pizza dough like it's no biggie? Ask her how young she started flipping dough. Such a great home grown talent! If you're expecting pre-made, commercial-grade dough or sweet, ketchup-based sauce laced with lots of sugar or what you usually find visually or taste from your usual chain of pizza stores, prepare to be disappointed. For taking Italia down to Antique, It's a five.More

It's been described as the best pizza in the country; truly it's one of the best we've tasted ingredients-wise, size-wise. After personally welcoming guests, the owner, Daniel Orsini, prepares your order. By design, the kitchen is visible to the dining area so you get to...see all those Italian ingredients in full authentic display. When we visited in March, the upper portion, (stairs, balcony and all), was half done, reminiscent of the movie Mama Mia set in Greece, overlooking the sea. It's kinda quirky, pizza on bamboo tables, flaglets on bamboo poles. There's a funny fringe topping it all: the menu entry says muscle (for mussels?). Final judgement: drop by, it's an easy find along the highway. Get to know owner/chef Signor Orsini, who loves the Philippines, fall in love with Antique, discover her many beauty spots. You'll be back for sure.More

A rare find indeed, this pizzeria owned by Mr. Daniel Orsini, an Italian who decided to live most of the time in this quiet town of Tibiao, Antique, Philippines. Real value for money too! Best eaten hot! I think we ordered margherita and the one...with salami. Since this is a Filipino community, you might have some karaoke singing in the background.More
