Why is this great community establishment closed ? I stayed in st Giles this week and had to drive to the next village to find food. What a shame the bull inn is closed and from what I understand it has been closed for months...More

It's a great pity that Wimborne St Giles has been deprived of its own pub. This should be the heart of the village but it's very very closed. The website is misleading as it appears open. It isn't.

Change in management & training new staff, service was good and food served promptly - ideal place to eat if attending any events at the Ancient Technology Centre just up the road - would certainly go there again

Looking forward to visiting The Bull the other day - drove up and it looks derelict. No sign of life - garden overgrown - no cars. Has it closed?

This covers two visits, the first late February. With London friend turned up after 12 noon and we were the only customers though later quite a few more, apparently regulars, turned up. My friend had "Arnold Bennett" omelette and pronounced it the best she has...More

We stayed here just for the night a couple of weeks ago. We booked last minute and forgot to say my daughter was vegan. A suitable lunch choice was immediately sorted and special bread baked for breakfast. Amazing.

Such a shame - turned up at the bar - waited 3 minutes to get served - bar staff chatting to locals and more interested in them than new customers so we left in disgust - used to go here often but never again -...More

We drove past there a couple of weeks ago and the place looked derelict. No cars, nobody around and the beer garden's grass was knee high. The patio tables were stacked up too - didn't look as though they'd been used... More

Description
The Bull Inn, Wimborne St Giles, has been transformed from what was a very tired looking village pub near the Cranborne chase in to what is now a comfortable, light, yet firmly rural destination. The menu offers delicious modern British cooking at its best, prepared by our Chef, Ian Craddock. From dishes such as home cooked venison pies to salt baked Bream, there is something for everyone using local ingredients in the daily changing menu. The wine list offers an array of wines by the glass, along with a changing bin end list offering superb value Chateaux & Domaines from France. We have three real ale pumps on hand to quench the thirst, with ales from local brewers.
