We have visited this pub on numerous occasions whilst camping up the road. It has certainly improved since the new landlady has taken over the value and the quality of the food is now good and the beer also kept well. Good luck and keep up the good work,

A group of 20 of us MX5 car owners (SL5ers) were booked in for Sunday Lunch on the 16th October. We had a fantastic Sunday dinner. Plenty of roasted meat and beautifully cooked fresh vegetables. Great selection of vegetables. Some of us had starters which went down very well too, some found room for pudding! which was also excellent . Staff... More

My friend and daughter and I were exploring the local area and saw a sign for the Queens Head and we decided to give it a go. We are DEFINITELY glad we did! I'll break down the basics. 1) Location & Decor- it is very easy to find. It is situated across a pretty church. The interior could use some... More

We brought friends for dinner who were staying for Burghley weekend to try it out as it was under new management and also it had been recommended on trip advisor We were sadly disappointed, the food was not good, the famous pies had sold out. There was no atmosphere, the decor was Spartan, the staff behind the bar were not... More

We ate here three times whilst staying in the area. The best food was the Sunday lunch. The meat was plentiful and both my wife and I enjoyed the Yorkshire with stuffing and crackling when we had pork. The vegetables were done to our liking. If the potatoes had been better I would have given this place over 60/100 and... More

The Queens Head is situated just off the A43 in the pretty village of Bulwick. After parking in the fairly ample sized car park to the rear of the premises,we promptly " legged it" into the pub to see if they were still serving sunday lunch."We stop at 3pm" said the young gentleman serving behind the bar.....a shame as we arrived... Since the new owners took over, this beautiful hidden gem of a village pub has gone from being a dark unfriendly establishment, to one which not only serves fabulous Grainstore Brewery beer but also produces amazing home cooked food by their talented head chef. Well worth a return visit.

Huge portions of very nice food, only spoilt by to much salt in steak and kidney pudding. We had no room for desert. New staff team still learning the ropes, it will be interesting to see how this pub develops, it's one to watch.

Looking at other reviews it seemed like a good place to go. I was disappointed a little. Firstly one of our party is a vegetarian. There were no vegetarian option. Not even the mention of an omelette even!! When asking the person said ' we might have some mushroom stroganoff left over from yesterday. Oh and we have veggie burgers'.... More
