We were greeted by Denise at reception who showed us to our wonderful two storey apartment overlooking the marina - book this if possible - then went for dinner. To say we were stunned at the quality of the food is an understatement - amazing and really well served, quality food and cooking. Breakfast is not to the same quality,... More

Shop was a tad expensive for what it sold, but it is a lovely setting and if you are into boats, I am sure you will love it.

Portavadie is not a destination you pass by. It is a destination you have to be destined for and the scenery you pass through en route to that destination is absolutely stunning. The restaurant is a part of the hotel and marina complex and overlooks the yachts sitting at anchor. The food is imaginative and very well presented and the... More

Aye here a few times when on a self catering real. Food was delicious and staff were attentive but not obtrusive. Would have expected a dress code when paying these prices £15+ for a main at lunch time, not a man in a tracksuit at the table beside me.

Stayed in a townhouse as a family get together in January 2017. Lovely large open plan apartment with balcony and views over the marina. Staff were very helpful as heating was not coming on when we arrived but Maintenance was soon sent over and got things working. Once heating was on apartment was lovely and cosy. We ate at the... The menu here is not exciting. This is standard seafood grub available throughout Scotland. The saving grace is the freshness of the ingredients and the excellent cooking. I had the Tarbert scallop starter (with celeriac, apple and pork terrine), Loch Fyne mussels with chips and then the dark chocolate ganache (with passion fruit sauce and raspberry sorbet). My partner had... More

Got to the Portavadie-Tarbert ferry early so had lunch and chilled with the free wifi on the sofas for a hour os so. Super food - soups, fish, meaty stuff and served with a cheery smile as you look out on a spectacular view.
