We ended up here after a nice visit of the city of Vezelay. What a nice local place with really good food! After we ordered our meal, we found out that paying with cards was not possible, and that we only had 45 Euro cash on us. This was no problem for them, and they gave us all the food we ordered, plus wine and desert! What a nice surprise, they just wanted us to have a nice diner! Highly recommented, you won't be disappointed!

Only a couple of miles from Vézelay, a major tourist destination in Burgundy, Asquins has a really nice restaurant here. Don't expect Michelin star cooking because that's not what it's about. It's good, straightforward cooking and presentation. The menu is not extensive but there are fish and meat choices, omelettes, salads and starters of charcuterie or crudités as well as specials announced at the table. The special this evening was moules frites, with a vast dish of perfectly cooked (i.e. not rubbery) moules and delicious frites. Others had meat and fish and clean plates showed the food was enjoyed. A Petit Chablis was priced quite high at €20 but other than that the prices are excellent. For seven of us we paid €18 a head for everything, though we didn't go for dessert or coffee. Worth a visit on the way to or from Vézelay or the Morvan National Park.
