My first visit hubby's second. They handled Covid-19 very well. I am not a fan of paying by the pound? We shared the sampler platter and 2 small salads. There really was not $25.95 worth of meat in the dish. Portion was disappointing but food tastes ok. Salads were both flavorful. If in area again I would go again.

We came on a hot Saturday night. We were newbies, everyone else in the lineup was getting food to go. You choose from ribs, pulled pork, brisket, sausage, side salads etc. No chicken. Everything is priced by weight. All prices are posted and the cash register shows you how much per container. The staff were super friendly and suggested as first timers we order the sampler meal - 2 ribs, 1 sausage, pulled pork and brisket. We had been told to try the baked beans and they did not disappoint. We got samplers and 3 sides for 4 people and it was plenty. They also have desserts. Everything was delicious. We sat at a picnic table and ate out of the containers with plastic cutlery. They allow dogs to sit with you in the outdoor area. They have draft and bottled beer. Simple but tasty food.

Circumstances took us by this temple of 'cue two days in a row and we stopped for lunch on both days. Really, really good, as always. But I watched two separate couples look at the menu and leave. Yes, the menu is a bit unusual but don't let that intimidate you. The people serving will make up as much or little as you want and there are always sandwiches if you aren't too adventuresome. All the meats are outstanding. The beans are good, coleslaw meh but that's the only quibble. Don't miss out on the best food for miles. Get yourself there and see what I mean.

I would rate this place as a 5 for food...it's awesome!!!! I really only have one complaint....you can not place your order in advance? Called in an order for 15 full meals and they declined the phone call and told me I would have to come in and wait. I actually choose to place the order at a slow time, so as not to disrupt their service level to other customers. Placing a large order in advance allows for the following #1. Production Planning: allows you to better plan your food production so your prepared food is not wiped out before lunch or dinner. #2. Customer Service: allows for better more efficient customer service, not only does the customer placing the large order not have to wait but all the other customers don't have to wait. #3. Payment in advance with visa over the phone would eliminate the risk of a large order not being picked up. (too bad they don't take visa).

My wife and I went in to check it out . I asked for 2 small orders of fries I was informed that they don't have fries . Oh I said so thats a game changer I said . Then immediately I was told to go back to Toronto . I don live in Toronto I live in Hastings . Must have been the Blue Jay cap I was wearing . So to the friendly young man that stood there taking the orders at 1.30 pm September 26th 2020 a little more respect would go far . Put your self in my shoes .

Heard from a friend of a friend from the Belleville area the BBQ was tasty. Well, I can say the brisket sandwich with coleslaw was very very good. Succulent, Smokey, and super flavourful. The best I’ve ever had. Texas BBQ Brisket has nothing over Muddy’s Pit BBQ Brisket! Keep up the great work Muddy.

Not worth the money at all. Very dry meat. 50 dollars for very little meat. The owner is extremely sensitive. Any bad review is removed by the owner. The owner has zero ability to hear anything bad about the lack of quality if his meat.

Stopped to pick up supper for all my cottage buddies, as it was Clearview Cottages week.(great cottages by the way). Although okay, it's definitely different from other years. A few of the cottagers even said the same thing. Maybe it was a one off day, but it was not as good as other years. Brisket was cooked but not very flavorful. Sausages were cooked but not very juicy or inspiring. The only glimmer was the beans with burnt ends in them. I am not giving up on them, but it wasn't what I expected based on past meals.

I tried Muddy's for the first time a couple of weeks ago and was not as thrilled as I expected to be after numerous friends telling me how wonderful it was. Every restaurant can have an off moment; how it is handled is what matters. When I let Muddy's know, they thanked me for my feedback and offered right away for me to come back and enjoy their ribs. I went again today and am so glad I did. The ribs are, bar none, the best I've ever had in Ontario! Eric, thank you for your stellar customer service. You have gained yet another die hard fan!

Nachos with beans and chilli are amazing. Meat sampler was great! Sooo much meat! No fries or anything fried. Super yummy though.. Wasn't a fan of the flies ..but it's nearly impossible to keep them out with open doors and farm town.

It's all about the sauce, along with quality brisket. So I bought the sauce, got it through the family dinner, and despite protests got it 330 k home for hot dogs ... 3 days later. A take-it-up-a-notch sauce. (See my 'dog' photo please.) Q-Trip: Always carry your thermos bag. Q-Trip: Never disappointed in the brisket.

Give this place a miss, the food is VERY OVERPRICED, served cold and everything is priced by the pound, which means you spend a lot and get nothing much in return. I left a review on Google where the owner left a reply,go read my review and his reply and make your decision based on that.

Way over priced for dry meat. Not worth the drive. Definitely not worth the money. You'll leave hungry.

Date of visit: August 5th, 2021 As we drove around rice Lake, we came across Muddy's Pitt BBQ. It is a classic old southern Smoke shack style BBQ restaurant - rustic, ramshackle, and a little rusted - all very intentional in the design aesthetic. They have some indoor seating as well as patio seating as well. You order your meal at the counter, and then pick up when its ready. They offer typical BBQ menu items like pulled pork, brisket, sausage, and many others. We ordered the Brisket Sandwich with mac and cheese. The brisket was tender, and full of good smoke flavour. The Service was decent -just counter service so Its hard to really judge. They were friendly - just not full table service good. The prices were very reasonable and appropriate for what you get. You can order a beer while there which is nice. I would not recommend the chili cheese dog, or the butter tarts. However - if you order a chili cheese dog at a BBQ joint - you should know NOT to. I felt bad because they were proud the butter tart was from a local woman - but as butter tart connoisseurs - we just couldn't recommend them. Otherwise - this is a great spot to stop for BBQ. you wont be disappointed.
