Food was well presented and the taste was delightful. The atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming. The staff were extremely helpful with placing orders for dinner. The night was enjoyable for all. Thank you for a lovely experience in your French Restaurant.

Booked a table as expected a Saturday evening to be busy and it did. The young lady that was serving us spoke little English and our French is little to non-existent, so the chef was fetched to help us order. The Mixed platter for 2...to start followed by Roast Chicken Breast in Pont-l’Eveque sauce and a Grilled Duck Fillet and rosemary sauce. Helped along by a bottle of Chateauneuf du Pape. Service was very good and attentive, but not pushing you out the door. If you are in Evreux and fancy a quality meal then book ahead. Open 5 days a week, just not Saturday or Sundays.More

Stopped over in Evreux on way back to UK from the south. Found this Resto by chance and it was in walking distance from our hotel..... Got there early so got a table easily. The two guys (owners?) serving were really helpful and one at...least speaks English. I was intrigued by the resto’s name and he was happy to explain! The menu was extensive and the portions generous. Wine list also extensive and Minervois by the glass did not disappoint. After sharing two starters followed by veal and burger ( both excellent) we opted for ice cream which was some of the best ever - locally produced! The resto soon filled up and several people were turned away. Atmosphere was good - mostly French diners. I couldn’t believe how small the kitchen was when I peeped in en route to the loo! Hope we will return one day - highly recommended.More

Did not visit - just an enquiry. Your site says it’s vegetarian friendly. It IS NOT!! When I phoned to ask, the reply was a definitive NO to anything vegetarian

I had a very nice lunch in this lovely little restaurant in Evreux. I had fish with risotto and a tasty glass of white Sancerre wine. The staff is very friendly and food is tasty and fresh. Would really recommend this place

Some restaurants were closed on Mondays but fortunately this was open. It’s a small bistro but the food was very good. I opted for a burger which was excellent. Perhaps not a traditional French dish, but it was a god choice. The Cheesecake to finish...was also very good.More

My husband and I have been traveling throughout France for the last 10 days. We have eaten in excellent restaurants in Lyon, Paris, and Versailles. While traveling through Evreux to visit Normandy, we found this outstanding restaurant on Trip Advisor. All three courses were not...just good, but superb. The reviews were spot on. We arrived a little early at 7:15 PM, and were the first people seated. More than 25 people came in after us in, and only the first two couples without reservations were able to be seated. I would recommend reservations, it is definitely worth your time! Thank you for the great food and excellent service.More

Lovely restaurant with friendly and efficient staff. Visited on a stop over travelling to ferry ports and glad we did. Full restaurant with nice atmosphere ( some visitors were turned away as no tables available). Would visit again

This is the kind of food you don't find so often in France these days : reliably good, with a twist of imagination. Extremely amiable man who served us added to the good experience. Wine served by glass or bottle only (no carafes), but at...reasonable prices. Gets busy. This was a welcome stopover supper en route to the ferry to UK, and a lovely change from the cheap chain hotel we'd booked into!More

We only had one night in this town and stumbled upon this great place. At first we thought it would be fine as there were a few tables outside and we had our dog with us. Inside was full and that's always a good sign...in a Monday night! By the time we had looked at a menu outside was full and no table for us. The owner came out and asked if he could help and informed us the dog was welcome inside! Great, so we took the offer up. Well I have to say the service was great and the food even better. On top of the the extensive wine list was welcomed and again at very good prices. Great value and fantastic quality. I would definitely recommend this place and would visit if around again.More

We happened on this little bistro on a corner of a quiet street by chance. We were welcomed warmly, without a reservation, and felt very lucky when other couples came in after us and were turned away. Food fantastic, authentic French with flair. The staff...were also very engaging and charming "Bon Soir jeune fille!" I am neither young nor a girl anymore :). Wine also very good. The whole ambience, French cuisine in a modern yet traditional setting was great. Can't wait to go back.More

Great little local place. Not much English spoken, but we worked it out and the food was fine. Turned away the first time we tried to go so we made reservations for the next night and were not disappointed. She had pork, I had cheese...and shaved ham. Both were very good. Would highly recommend.More
