We decided to eat out on Hogmanay evening and go to the Sheriffmuir Inn as we had done last Hogmanay and weren't disappointed. The restaurant was busy with family groups, large tables of friends and the two of us, but we weren't squeezed into a table for two, our table had plenty of space as did all the tables with... More

We went to this establishment for our New Years eve meal and it was an excellent choice. The food was excellent. Beautifully cooked and a lot of choice on the menu. The staff were very friendly with excellent customer service. If there was one fault I could pick up on, It would be that I would like a little whisky... More

We had a party of 13 friends to celebrate our wedding anniversary 23/12/16, from the moment we entered til we left we were treated like long lost friends. Everyone had a fantastic night, some friends had travelled over 250 miles to be with us. We all had a brilliant night, the Cullen Skink soup was out of this world, the... More

We were here last year, and decided to go again. Good menu, including Xmas specials. Cullen Skink starter was lovely; turkey and all the trimmings was very good (turkey was slightly dry, but the veg made up for this big time). Little room for a pud, but a latte was wonderful. Well worth searching out.

We booked for a party of 17 to celebrate our mother's 80th birthday. From the outset, the staff were friendly, attentive and very patient while dealing with our party, providing a great atmosphere and joining in with a lot of laughter. The menu was extensive and the food of a very high quality. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit here and... More

Surprised to see a scruffy dog bedded down next to major domo's desk. The food was much better than expected and served promptly, by attentive staff. I had Cullen Skink (new to me, and a delightful revelation), fish of the day (again excellent), and chocolate iced cream (good). The other three members of our party had various dishes, all received... More

If this pub/restaurant was near me I would review it badly to keep it secret ! It is that good! However it is 40miles from me near Dunblane where one of my daughters has just re-located. Warm welcome from co-owners and chef . Log fire and original furniture. Wagyu Featherblade steak and Wagyu shin were both superb - tasty -... More

Dear reader, I can not highlight how much of a great night myself and my family had at this wonderful establishment. With a table of 10 this special occasion prior to my son's christening was well handled by the staff. The food was excellent with that old Scotland feel of traditional fare. Due to the rural location visiting family from... More
