What a little gem. We arrived just after 8pm but even though the kitchen closed at 8 pm the staff checked and the chef said it was ok to order and don’t rush, this was exceptional as we’ve had this happen many times whilst travelling...and usually we get a negative response. Food was excellent and hot and not expensive. The staff were excellent and friendly. We will definitely call again if in the area. Thank you for making us welcome.More

Been to the New Inn several times before but this was the first time under new management. I'm glad to say that the standards were as high as ever and we enjoyed an excellent experience. There was a good selection of beers, the choice on...the menu was excellent and the standard of the food was extremely high. Perhaps more important than all of this was that we were cared for by smiling and attentive staff. Can't recommend this place enough.More

For my dad's 80th birthday, we had had a day out at the Severn Valley Railway (good but not outstanding) and we had picked a pub almost at random on our route home, using google maps and some online ratings for guidance. The New Inn...immediately appealed to us. It is an attractive cottage-like pub with a deceptively large interior. Decor was tasteful but homelike with soothingly low lighting and the restaurant area laid out in such a fashion that each table enjoyed its own 'cosy nook', whilst the overall feeling was of airy spaciousness. The friendly welcome was a taste of things to come as the waiting staff were exceptionally warm, friendly and efficient. All in all a very convivial atmosphere. The bar stocked a wide range of drinks including several good, well-kept ales. I was delighted to find a dark mild on tap - a rare treat. The menu is large and varied, ranging from pub-grub standards, through more upmarket specials to some fairly exotic fayre. A few unusual items stand out such as faggots, peas and mash. The food, when it arrived, was excellent. Well cooked, tasty and generously proportioned. Too full to sample the tempting range of deserts, we finished with a coffee, which was also very good. We felt we had fallen on our feet by choosing The New Inn and it made a perfect end to our day out. We will definitely visit again, the next time we are in the area.More

Booked this pub for a family meal, it was our first visit and we couldn’t have chosen better. The front of house team were all super friendly and helpful. Abi was our main server and she is a star The pub itself is clean, decorated...lovely and has a great atmosphere. Our food was delicious, three of us had steaks which were all cooked to perfection, the other party member had the Moroccon chicken which he said was really tasty. The portion sizes are generous. The table next to us had fish and chips which was enormous!!!!. We will definitely be back again.More

Food was absolutely fabulous. The Prawns in Chilli and Lime were huge as was the Fish main (more like a whale). The place was tidy, welcoming and attentive. I would definitely recommend if you’re in the area.

Decided to book a table here after looking at the menu online. Booking was easy through thier website. We received a very warm and friendly welcome and shown to our table. To drink we ordered a large coke and a pint of Guinness, I can...only describe the Guinness as PERFECTION. There is a specials board to choose from as well as the main menu, we decided on garlic mushrooms to start which were very nice and served with a good sized chunk of warm bread. For mains we had the 8oz sirloin steak and the blade of beef, my partner said the steak was cooked perfectly and was very tender. My blade of beef was fantastic and just melted in my mouth, the parsnip crisps were a very nice touch. The staff members who we met were so friendly and took time to actually have a conversation with us, which is a rare thing these days so top marks for that. Unfortunately we were too full to have desserts, but they did sound nice....maybe next time!More

Visited this little gem last night. Two couples out for dinner and a few drinks. The food was outstanding. Portions were not small by any means and really delicious, no grease and completely fresh. Price was very reasonable too and the service was great. The...girls were polite, attentive and hard working. We will definitely be visiting again!More
