What a ripoff joint! 2 of the worst ham and cheese sandwiches we have ever had, with a bottle of sparkling water and a small beer = $56

One of the big pleasures of going to the flea market (Marche aux Puces) is to go and have a real typical french meal. Le Petit Navire ( Au Petit Navire is indicated though) is this type of restaurant. Locals and venders come here to eat as well as buyers and tourists. The menu is the usual staple of Salade... More

Halfway through exploring the ginormous Marche des Puces in Saint Ouen, we started thinking about lunch and chose this friendly and welcoming place that seemingly was a local secret. The sign outside touting the special of the day as Moules Marinieres lured me in and they were excellent as was my wife's Onion Soup! Good wine and a cute, nautical,... More

We were each given menus and the waiter then kept snatching the menu from my son's hands - no big deal - was probably trying to preserve his... More

We stopped here while wandering around the Marches Aux Puces flea market area and a couple of us opted for the traditional Croque Monsieur and what emerged was the biggest and tastiest toasted sandwich I think I've ever had. If you stop for lunch like we did you won't be hungry again till late into the evening. The whole area... More

We only had the soupe de poisson and the onion soup. The fish soup was 11 Euro but it was umami, and with really, really tiny bits of seafood at the bottom of the bowl. The fish soup was a tad on the salty side but we can taste the crab, shell fish, fish that were used to make it.... More

Actually, it was a bit better than average - he had sardines, I had saussison, we should probably have had the signature mussels, but what we had was fine. It was crammed, the service was eccentric and the background music even more so, sounding like the theme tune from frenetic silent movies - I think it may be a not-so-sublte... More
