The desk clerk at our hotel suggested this restaurant, and we were glad she did. The food was local and very good. The wait staff didn't know a lot of English and we know very little Italian but we all worked together and had a great time.
Very clean place. Meals cooked like at home. Pasta de la Nona, lins soup, rosted potatoes with a glass of redwine della casa. A good place for diner before doing something else.
It is a small modest restaurant on the side of the road. The lady owner and her daughter cook simple local dishes with love and it shows. The ingredients are organics whenever possible, the taste is authentic. The prices are very reasonable. What's not to love ???
Good simple food. Easily accessible out side the city. Inexpensive. The Nonna waits table (very friendly) and the daughter is the chef. We always found parking on the street outside but I think we were just lucky. There is a parking lot 100 m away.
Very near of my hotel, I think I would not have stopped if it wasn't by a recommendation. The Sege al pesto picante is abstolutely fabulous. Te place is small and very local, not a lot of turists. Very traditional, ruled by the owner who's a typical mamma. Must take a visiti if you´re in Siena.
Loved the quaint style, owner operated as well as she is chef, very personable, very very Italian, wonderful sausage with excellent grilled very fresh vegetables.....ah..........a wonderful reason to come to Siena.

I wouldn't recommend driving to the area just for the restaurant, but if you're nearby, then you should give it a go. Green and white checkered plastic coated table cloths are... More
While driving around searching for a place to eat we stumbled upon Nonnanna...a lucky find! We found the interior warm and inviting. We were greeted by a lovely woman who we mistook for the Nonna of the place name. We were seated at a linen covered table with fresh flowers upon it. The space was well lit....thank goodness!
