After two years, we had to visit Maria and her lovely restaurant again. The first night we only had a main meal of chicken piri-piri. I can only say that after having tried the same in two different restaurants in the Old Village, this was superior - flavoursome to the last bite and not only on the skin which the... More

This is a lovely restaurant and one that I always enjoy every time I travel to Vilamoura. It is family owned and run and the staff are wonderful with a keen interest that everything about your visit is to your satisfaction. The last time I visited with my family we had some lovely fresh Salmon and new potatoes with vegetables... More

Tucked away at the back of the shops, not the easiest to find, we were the only diners at 8pm, we didn't let this put us off, staff are excellent, very knowledgeable about the food and wines they are serving, we had chicken kebabs for main and clams for starters, food had great flavour, was fresh and well cooked, some... Hidden gem, good local food at a reasonable price. The owner makes a visit to this restaurant unforgettable, she is enthusiastic about her restaurant and spends time clearly explaining the food and what she recommends. .....oh and she will have you up dancing so be prepared!

This is our third time of returning to the warmest of Portuguese welcomes and drinks on the 'casa' (house)! We were not disappointed - the menu choice is excellent and we settled on the Monkfish Rice - we have never had anything like it before, and it was just delicious. Huge portion size, piping hot and freshly cooked. The lady... More

Delicious authentic Portuguese food. Appetisers were served - olives, garlic carrots, garlic and parsley butter and soft ciabatta bread. The best piri piri chicken I had tasted and my husband had a lovely kebab. Huge portions. The owner and her family are very inviting - we went back one night just for drinks and spent some time chatting with the... More

A great evening. We received a welcome drink on arriving. The order was taken and our food was cooked on receiving the order. We then received free bread, olives and carrot/ginger dip and a bottle of water, each. The starter course was ready relatively quickly. We then ordered a bottle of wine and the main course was ready. We completed... More
