This place lookes very inconspicuous from the outside, but if you go in you will be well rewarded as the food is awesome. We tried the Afternoon Tea menu. Not something I do very often, but this is one I will remember. Excellent value-for-money and including some quite exquisite dishes. The Salmon Mousse on homemade croissant was the best and... More

We went to the ice cream bar in the garden, we were greeted by a friendly waitress who conjured up the most imaginative ice creams.

The place is very popular for a lunch stop. But it is also interesting because of the garden sales and museal contens in the attic. Or a place to stop just for a cup of coffe and cakes.

Food is ok, but nothing special. You have to que to get your dish, carry it to the terrace. When you are finished you are expected to bring your dishes to a stand and sort them out. Prices are to high for a self-service.

Great food and a very nice garden! Only 3-5 dishes to choose but they are all good. They also serve coffee and cakes that tastes great

Esters cafe has been here as long as I remember and I've been travelling to Langserud for forty years! Its a lovely, quaint place with homemade cakes and buns and plenty of strong coffee. Last time we went was on a rainy day when the kids were going stir crazy in the stuga and we had a great lunch. Ideal... More

Visited Esthers Café one Sunday with little traffic. A few other guests, but otherwise pretty quiet. Concept quite pleasant with various vintage/retro furniture. The unfortunate side of it is that it also provides a somewhat peculiar odor in the premises which are far from fresh. We ordered tea and cakes which were perfectly OK. First we had asked for cappuccino... More

We travelled from Stockholm to Oslo and found Esters cafe by accident. The cafeteria was really great surprise almost in the middle of nowhere. Still having fresh, homemade pastries. The environment and athmosphere was built with love and good thinking. Stopping there was one of the best experiences of this summer holiday.

Stayed only a short time and was and had a cup of tea and cake, cost some 40 Swedish Kroner. Tea, cakes, snacks and a good location for that well earned break. Well worth the stop if passing.

We've been coming to Sweden for 10 years and never stopped here, despite it being less than 5 minutes away from where we stay! I was amazed to see it as the no.1 place to eat in Varmland on Tripadvisor, so we thought we'd try it this trip. I'm ashamed to say that we should have tried this outstanding café... More
