Our International Archeological Society of Naples was in Tivoli on Saturday, 20 May, to visit the wonderful Villa Adriana. The enormous villa complex of the Roman Emperor Hadrian. We made reservations to eat and drink Frascati wine after our tour of the villa at this Osteria. Our group consisted of 29 Americans, Italian's, and Brits who live in the Naples,... More

We were told to stop for lunch in this town for the best porchetta ever, and boy did we get lucky. We wandered into this tucked away spot for lunch and are still salivating over the food. We ordered the sample plate which consisted of 3 different salamis, prosciutto, porchetta, four kinds of cheese, olives, eggplant, artichokes, and sundried tomatoes.... More

Fantastic ancient roman site! On a par with Pompeii in my opinion, close the Flumicino airport. Parking is free, cheap entry, there is a cafe inside which provides adequate refreshment and food, also a little gift shop.

Fun setting down the cave!! We had the meat/cheese platter with a couple of beers. Delicious selection, although could have done www a bit more variety in the cheeses. Dolci options need some work!! All in all a great dinner though

The place is quite unique, you do feel in a proper traditional space. Different meats are served along with a variety of cheese and parmesan aubergine, and they are all amazing! The red wine is a particular mix of 3 types of red, so good! You can tell it is a family-run business by the detailed attention and interest they... More

Did not dine in the "grotto" as in summer it's better outside to enjoy the sunset breeze. The Grotto is fine in winter months as the all year round temperature is 20°C. The food? fun and tasty. The highlight is the house specialty: a mix of ham, salamis, cheeses, porchetta (roast pig) dry tomatos, eggplants and a special ricotta cheese.... More

This place is amazing! I had read about it on TA and was very exited about coming here. I went with my boyfriend around 5 pm and when we first got there I was beginning to think that I made a mistake. The place doesn't look like much at first glance - a few tables outside and a little shop.... More

We found this place on trip advisor after spending most of the day walking round Rome in 36 degree heat. We were welcomed in and shown the cool beautiful underground cave and chose a table. After an exhausting day in the italian heat this place was absolutely perfect! Chilled beer, delicious wine, and wonderful food! The staff we're extremely friendly... More
