The Best in Belle River

Its the day before Valentines. We have been here many times. To me its better then any Erie Street Restaurants by far. Tonight it was the seafood special and it was excellent. My husband had the seafood pasta and it was excellent. So much has changed since Covid that many restaurants are struggling. So we will be back. It is nice and cozy.

Nice Italian restaurant in Belle River

Visited this Belle River Italian restaurant back in March with my mom. She had the chicken parmigiana with pasta and I had the special which was chicken marsala. Both meals were very good and we would definitely have them again. House salad, mixed greens with a vinaigrette dressing good also. There were few people at tables inside who were a bit loud as the sound did carry inside the two rooms for dining. Better acoustics would help. We will definitely be back this summer but hopefully sitting outside. Hope to try the tiramisu.

Very nice personal restaurant. Food and service were fantastic. Fresh Bread with every dinner. We had the shrimp appetizer and was extremely tasty. Veal parmigiana was great which I had with spaghetti. Loved the dressing with the starter salad. The tiramisu was a great way to finish a great meal. Top notch dining experience

We have been here several times before. The food is good, the service is hit and miss. Recently we tried to go for dinner on a Saturday. We were told there were no reservations, however there would be a table shortly so we drove down. We arrived and sure enough there came a table available-just cleared! When we asked why we weren't being seated we were told the table was on hold for someone who was not even in the restaurant. We asked how could that be with no reservations allowed on a weekend? We were told another table would come up in about 10-15 minutes. We asked if the party was not there for the table that should not have been held, why could we not have the table and the upcoming table come to the person who was not there. This circular conversation happened a few times. Another waitress came and said yes they are here so can have the table. The waiter said no, it was being held. We left. Casa Mia enjoys being one of a few restaurants in Belle River thus they are busy. We won't be doing back again after the unfair treatment and going since it opened. We were warmly welcomed at Capone's-worth the drive!

Last minute dinner

We were on our way back from a day trip from Sarnia, Port Huron and since we knew it would be too busy in Windsor we thought we would try Belle River. My daughter told us the name and we were very happy we gave it a try. The service was great and the food was also great. We will definitely go back and maybe even try their patio.

Once seated waited 10 minutes for our server to say she would be right with us then waited 10 more . You would think she would have taken our drink order at least . Overall the food was below average of our expectations .

Enjoyed a fantastic takeout dinner for 2 last night! We were actually 2 couples so we ordered both the chicken parmigiana and the veal funghi specials. All 4 of us were thrilled with our meal. Plenty of food, excellent quality and a great price! Highly recommend!!

Great Variety of authentic Italian food & wine. Very welcoming service, surprisingly- a cozy / well-appointed / comfortable atmosphere inside. Actual food experience was very enjoyable. We live in Tecumseh and just returned from Italy the week before and wanted more. It was either 20 min into Erie street or 10 into Belle River and we are happy we decided Casa. Highly recommend for a change.

This place is truly a hidden gem. We live in lakeshore and wanted to go out for a nice meal but didn’t feel like driving back into Windsor. Voila. Thank goodness we had heard the buzz about this place. I already want to go back! We had a hard time decision as everything sounded so good. We started with the spicy calamari which was so fresh and well seasoned etc. among my favourite ways I have had calamari. Highly recommended. My partner got Caesar salad and the daily special which was fettuccine with clams and mussels in a white wine garlic sauce. I got a penne dish with peas, prosciutto in a blush sauce. Unreal. Such a good choice. I had mine with a house salad and the dressing was so light and refreshing. Even the bread that’s served is fresh airy and light and the butter has hints of garlic in it. Amazing. Service was great. Ambiance was great. Price was unreal. I had two glasses of white wine (not house), and he had a Manhattan. For the drinks, appetizer and two entrees with salads it was around $100!! Can’t beat that. We will be back. A new favourite.

Quality Italian in Belle River / Lakeshore

2019-06-15 Casa Mia is located in an older 'century' home and has a 'cozy' feel. Food is excellent with a good variety of Italian-inspired dishes. Ingredients are fresh. Service was professional, attentive, and friendly. Although the weather did not permit, Casa Mia also has an outdoor patio for dining. If you are from the area or just visiting I would recommend.

Had dinner here Friday evening. We had a garlic shrimp appetizer and my wife had chicken breast and I had spaghetti with seafood. We both had a glass of wine.the meals were both very good,the service was excellent and the venue was very nice. Would definitely return.

We were 2 couples. Arrived at around 5pm. Had to wait about 1 hour 15 mins. Not a big deal. This place doesn't take reservations. We ended up waiting outside on the patio and had some drinks. I had the California lemonade. Very tasty drink. The place is cozy with a charming atmosphere. It is small with seating for around 30 people or maybe 10 tables. Then menu has a variety of options such as pasta, meat, poultry and seafood dishes. We had the grilled calamari appetizer. It was cooked perfectly. Although I prefer fried calamari which wasn't an option. Our friends had the sausage and peppers appetizer which they said was delicious. Side salads were your typical mixed greens with cucumber and tomato with vinaigrette dressing. Very light and pleasant tasting. My entree was the chicken parmigiana with pasta and meat sauce. It was nice and hot when it arrived. My dish tasted good but maybe a minor complaint would be that I had a little bit of excess water on my plate from the pasta which made my chicken parmigiana not as crispy as I would've liked. Not a big deal or maybe worth mentioning. My partner had the chicken and cream sauce with root vegetables. It was great. My friend had the veal parmigiana with spaghetti and meat sauce. Also good. Can't remember the 4th dish but I guess the garlic root vegetable are too die for. I'll have to try them next time. We ordered a couple cappuccinos. I felt my cappuccino was a little strong with the expresso crema and light on the milk to my liking. But it was still one of the better cappuccinos I've had and was nice and creamy. I would still order one again. Still very good. Service was excellent. Staff were welcoming, in good spirits and attentive. Overall a wonderful experience. I will definitely be coming back to try new dishes. The prices are reasonable for quality ingredients.
