Every time I go to this restaurant I am pleasantly surprised with the food and the service. I have never run out of things to order as the menu is always current and the chef thinks outside the box. The waitstaff is more than attentive...and very pleasant to say the least. Whether it’s a bite after golf or a dinner with my family tge choice of going to the Parkside at Rochester Place is always the right one.More
Stopped in for lunch after a round of golf. Not very busy on a Sunday afternoon, but the staff was very friendly and we were attended to promptly. Drinks arrive, and not too long after placing our food order, it arrived as well. You really...get your money's worth with the portions. I had 1/2 order of perch and fries and it was very filling, and delicious. My wife had nachos and queso and again...it was a good size and she enjoyed it - mentioned the queso had a little kick to it! Her father had a salad with a grilled chicken breast in it. Again...... a take out box was needed as it was more than could be eaten after a hot day of golf. Well done Parkside and Rochester Place!!!!More
My husband and I were staying at a nearby lake cottage and our host recommended this restaurant. We were hesitant about trying it and ended up eating there twice. We loved sitting on the peaceful outdoor patio. I enjoyed the sweet potato fries with cheese...sauce and garlic shrimp, even though I don't normally like sweet potatoes. My husband still talks about the truffle burger.More
Had takeout from here last night. New menu looks awesome, can't wait to try some more stuff on it. I had the Apple Snack Burger, was really good and balanced flavours on it, burger patty was really tasty itself. Side was a chili cheese fry....Fresh cut fries with the chili and all the fixin's, portion was huge. My wife had the chefs salad, was really good.More
Recently played an afternoon round of golf with friends. Pace of play was painfully slow as we waited on all but the first hole. Round eventually took 5 1/2 hours. Talked to staff during the last 9 and they didn't care or do anything. The...actual response was " what do you want me to do?" If they don't know.... Anyway - it is my last play there as many other options in the area are available.More
Ate at the restaurant on August 28th. Very slow getting our meal but dinner was very good. Went there again the next night and it was terrible. Again very slow for the food to come out and when it did, my hamburger was not cooked...properly. Very red in the middle. Sent it back and when it came back it was still pink and the roll was soggy. Did not eat it. They took off $5.00 from the bill. Gee...thanks. Would not go back again.More
My friend and I went to Parkside Grill today for lunch. We ordered the nachos and also chicken wings, both to share. The nachos were good but there was only toppings on the top. We thought they should have layered the toppings a bit. The...wings were very good (honey garlic).More
The staff are incredible. The patio is beautiful. Love the food. Ask for the “chocolate” for dessert. No seriously. Ask. It’s incredible.
I really like the fried chicken sandwich and my husband likes the burgers. Really good soup and nice salads too. I must say, this place has really changed for the better! We are happy that it’s just up the road from us.
New chef so menu has changed. Started with the Parkside queso appetizer but found it too watery. I wish the jalapeno poppers were back on the menu. We all had burgers, there are fewer on the new menu but there's also a weekly special burger....The truffle burger with mushrooms, Brie and truffle alioli was excellent. The fire house burger with jalapeno, cheddar, onion rings and spicy alioli was also very good. All are presented casually on a baking sheet with your choice of side.More
Rochester Place is an absolute gem! The course is in excellent condition with manicured fairways and accepting greens that are super smooth to putt on. The Starter was super friendly and welcomed us to the course as well. We went in for dinner and this...was also a great experience. The food was truly dynamite. We started with the broccoli fritters and they were wonderful. My husband and I each had the Truffle burger and it was incredible. My Mom had the Perch tacos and she loved them. Our server was Luke and he was an absolute treasure. We had a perfect day. We would highly recommend a day at Rochester Place. And....check your “Drive” magazine for their 2 for 1 golf coupon! Paid 25.00 to have brunch here on Mother's Day and it was not worth the money at all. The hit food was okay if you like bacon and sausage. The mac and cheese had a funny taste and the salmon in a crust was awful....It wouldn't even stay in the crust. We made our own toast so that was good. The cold/salad selection consisted of warm deviled eggs, warm salad and Caesar salad and dried out pizza. The dessert was jello and whipped topping, burnt hard chocolate chip cookies and two chaffing dishes one with Apple crisp and one with some other kind of upside down cake. The made a killing off of people because it was not at all worth 25.00 per person. The best part was the live singer. He and his accompanist were excellent. Never again. We were going to have our wedding here so glad we chose another venue.More
This restaurant had great food last year, this year not so much. There used to be a good selection of all kinds of food from appetizers to burgers to full meal entrees. All were fresh made and prices were reasonable. I really use to really...enjoy going there. This year I have been disappointed each time I’ve went. Service was good, but food quality was lacking. Menu is much smaller and pretty much just normal roadhouse food. They upped the prices on some meals and got rid of the tastier meals. Not a fan anymore.More
I visited last night with my wife. We’ve eaten here several times over the last few years and the food is good and they add to the menu on a regular basis. The ambiance is also good for a golf course restaurant and it’s very...clean. On one prior occasion we had really bad service but we kind of wrote it off as everyone has a bad day and sometimes you never know if a restaurant is dealing with a staffing shortage beyond there control. Last night we walked in the door and it took several minutes to find the hostess (she was socializing with the servers). We then got seated and after about 5 minutes we got a menu. After waiting another 10 minutes of watching the servers ignore us, socialize with each other and the two confused bartenders (observations only as we couldn’t even get a drink) we walked out. I will also point out that it wasn’t overly busy and lots of staff were in the restaurant. I don’t really feel the need to beg for average service and it’s too bad because the food is good. We won’t be back which is unfortunate because we’re local but I can’t justify spending money at this place anymore.More
Every season my husband and I try out the restaurant in hopes of improvement. Just as bad as last year. We had to send back his meal yet again as the chicken was so over cooked yet cold
