Nice outdoor patio with great view of the river. Service was excellent; food was good. Very easy to get to.

We ate breakfast at Ripplewood resort and it was really expensive. It's not uncommon for Big Sur, but it was even pricier than normal for really average food. I would not recommend them, but there are limited choices.
Try the potatoe gratin instead of regular hashbrowns, they are tasty. The service was great and the food was delicious.

The Ripplewood is tiny but friendly, and the food is good. I had eggs scrambled with chorizo, served with avocado, pintos and soft corn tortillas. Mexi-Cali at its best and piping hot. It's definitely a tourist stop, but the prices are reasonable.
