Great in every way. The quality of the food is exceptional. The service and the ambiance gives a perfect frame for traditional alsacien food. Very special place. Totally recomended!

On our first visit we ate in the "gastronomique" part of the restaurant and really enjoyed the 4 course Hellman menu. Each course was very good and generous portion sizes. The pot au feu cabillaud was a lovely surprise. The suggested glasses of wine for...each course were excellent. On our second night we ate in the more casual "winstub" and had another lovely dinner. Reservations recommended for both.More

I ate there with business colleagues from America and China. We all loved the food. It’s like a dinner “Journey” because you get so many little things along the way. The food was delicious and you can tell the wait staff are formally trained. Very...friendly family feel to the place. Bring your checkbook though because it was ~80 Euro per person including wine, dessert and coffee.More

My wife and I have been travelling through France for the past 11 years on our annual vacation and every year we stay at the wonderful family run Hotel a la Ferme and eat at their restaurant A L'Aigle d'Or. The restaurant has three distinct...dining options, the Winstub, a low key but elegant dining area offering traditional French/Alsatian dishes, the restaurant and Grand Salon where the a la carte menu can be experienced. We have eaten just about everything on the a la carte menu along with numerous local specials over the years and have never been disspointed. The food is beautifully prepared time after time and served professionally by one of the family or one of the polite efficient waiting staff, many of who have worked at the restaurant for years. Even when full the service is impeccable. The restaurant is also aesthetically beautiful with many original features that make eating there a real treat. If you want delicious food, cooked from the heart and served with a smile by a family who have the whole process off pat , oh and very reasonably priced for the high standard then give A L'Aigle d'Or a visit if ever you are passing.More

two different restaurants : the winstub (brasserie type meals), where we went, and the more gastronomic restaurant. Tasty local meals, really home made is the reason for limited choice of the menu , but also a guarantee of quality . Service was professional and friendly,...as well as a friendly setting.More

My first question is : How did this restaurant get a Michelin star? C'est impossible! The service is below the average since the waiter was more interested in the guests coming into the establishment than taking our orders. This happened twice! The menu offers a...limited choice of selection - two pages! And this included desserts 😂 Their choice of mineral water "Lisbeth" tasted like chlorinated tap water - honestly speaking -it was 6 euro a bottle! (See the pictures) . You can chose to put salt or/and pepper on the food but at least it should be on the table - nothing you should ask for them to bring. ..especially when you see a table full of salt and pepper. ....😂 Don't mention the war against the fruit flies. .I won. ..I killed 3 of them. Then some parts of the green salad was brown. ...I do remember we ordered green salad 😁 The food was OK. .but nothing special and definitely totally overpriced. Sorry this is the truth about this restaurant. I was so happy to visit another Michelin 1 star restaurant. .but this time we were really disappointed . Bon soirée.More

This is the only restaurant in Osthouse so you either eat here or go hungry! The menu is in French and our waitress really didn't help us with the translation - we think she was more interested in assisting those who were going to spend...a lot more money at her restaurant. The meal was average, unfortunately we picked the wrong meal from the menu and ended up with Fish and Chips!More

We came here as a "package deal" which probably lead to that we were treated as a "package". Quit, but neutral service. The food - not particular in any way. Seems as a pleasant place, maybe the experience would have been different if we came...as ordinary guests.More

We had a good dinner here. The food quality is great, especially the linguini with fish was outstanding. The desserts are fantastic. Presentation of the food is ok, as is the service, which is more typical of a family diner or pub. But the food...quality makes up for it. Overall lacks a bit of finesse.More

The nightly special is a good choice but the chicken, snitzel with mushroom gravy, mushroom soup and the flat bread appetizer are also good.

Good good but quite expensive for what it is. Nothing else in the village so a bit of a captive market maybe? - the family also own the hotel in the village. Much better value if you are prepared to drive a few miles.

I thought it was a nice restaurant with kind people but I've eaten better for less money. I found it too expensive for the of food we got. I would not recommend this place.
