Booked in advance for 6 people for Sunday dinner. We have had afternoon tea here before and was told by a friend to try the Sunday lunch. We was not disappointed, good selections of starters and mains. The soups were delicious and the mains were very tasty and excellent portions sizes. Friendly staff and good value.

Stopped by for a hot sandwich with the family. Food was great and the tea was plentiful. It's reasonably priced with a large car park. We would go again if we were out that way.

Called late on a Saturday afternoon for tea. I ordered a pot of coffee. My colleagues ordered tea. When the order arrived I was not given a cup or any other vessel to drink from. When I went to the counter to ask for a cup the staff laughed at me, and question why I would need one. Eventually a... More

Oh dear, looks like our staff confused you with someone who might have a sense of humour !! Obviously there was a mistake made, we would never expect you to drink out of a teapot! The waiting staff were obviously trying to make light of their mistake & then corrected it immediately. Nobody was trying to insult you in fact... More

We arrived at the restaurant mid afternoon a relatively quite period for the restaurant. We had booked for 18 persons but one was ill and couldn't make it. The person I took to be in charge was very short with us and said as we had pre ordered they had already prepared the food. The food arrived and the Yorkshire... More

What a shame you have chosen to write such a dreadful review when on the day your party was very happy! You visited on the Saturday of Mothers Day weekend which was one of the busiest we have ever experienced, but you were given priority & received good service, as you remark. You had preordered which speeded up service. However,... More

Lovely food and good service, but not cheap.. jacket potato, toasted sandwich and a ham salad, plus 3 drinks and 3 pieces of cake £50.. Make sure you have plenty of money when you visit

Having been here a number of times, I took a drive to have a treat. Ordered tea, sandwiche & scone. Sat near the window, plastic flowers on window sill looked old & dusty along with the sill that was dirty, not been wiped for a while. The tea pot came with a cracked spout & very dated, cheap cups &... More
