Emilia's tavern is located at Zourva, a little further than Therissos. Location accessibility is the only thing that can be accounted as a "negative". The family of Mr. Niko's runs a really impressive tavern with a variety of plates - all perfect. We have visited the place more than 10 times and we shave never been disappointed. An other thing... Emilia's is very hard to find as its out of the way, but the views are outstanding. The food is good but the portions are very small. We went (four adults and three kids) and in comparison to two years ago the portions have considerable reduced. We ended up have to double up our order to have a substantial meal.... More

We were served as being friends of the family who owns this unique tavern. Between the mountains with spectacular view (but the sunset can only be seen from the back side of it). Few choices (mostly meat) but authentic quality. Prices are cheap. Recommend the lamb and exceptional burgers.

I feeled like in family visit. Very warm and friendly hosts and food which can not be found around beaches and tourist villages. We have been there several times, food is double better then near coast and prices are double cheaper then near coast. So it worths 40min driving. You can buy one of best honey and cheese for very... A fantastic place! Family restaurant with excellent, high quality home food (lamb, goat meat, chicken, home-made feta cheese, everything was tasty). In definitely worth the ride and visit the tavern. P.S. Fantastic beautiful road through the gorge Theriso.

This is a restaurant much-beloved by walkers from HF Holidays, and Ramblers - high up at the top of the valley on the dramatic road from Meskla up to Zourva and round and down to Theriso. Iannis and his family do a brilliant spread of meze from about 8-10 euros per head - Greek salad, tzatziki, yigantes, mountain cheese, sausages,... More

Good traditional greek food, we tried staka, green salad and lamb cooked in the casserole. Lovely all of them. Very quiet though. Visited around 1pm on a Saturday. We were the only ones there. Shame cause it's nice. They could have a bit of music though. Too quiet.

We recently ate a very nice lunch here during our stay in Chania. The welcome was slightly 'cool' initially if I am being honest but after a short while, we felt right at home and were made extremely welcome. The food was delicious and the views are spectacular. Really stunning. It felt very relaxing and low key which is exactly... More
