I am writing to thank you and your staff for making my husband's surprise 80th birthday celebration a HUGE success.
As soon as we walked into the restaurant, we knew that we were in good hands. Your staff was extremely friendly and obliging, and the food was delicious. We were so impressed that both the Restaurant Manager (Ron Alaan) and the Chef came to check that everyone was happy with their food.
Our family joins me in thanking you for giving us such a memorable afternoon.

I took my family to celebrate my sons birthday. The service was great from the moment we walked through the door. Our waiter ( I wish I could remember his name) was very attentive. There were 7 of us including a picky 5 year old so we had the opportunity to enjoy quite a few different items from the menu and we all enjoyed our meals. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was right and the service was outstanding. We will definitely be coming back again.

This lovely experience began at the door when greeted by the friendly host who took me to a table inside where I was supposed to meet the birthday girl. It turned out that she had decided to sit outside. She had a delightful, amused employee come and fetch me. The outdoor area was set up under a large tent at the edge of the pond on the beautiful grounds. The menu selection included options for many diners and was most appropriate for a summer afternoon: salads, sandwiches, lighter fare. We especially loved the pistachio cheesecake, which was shared on individual, decorated plates, with a candle for the birthday girl. I had not informed the staff about the birthday, but they learned about it through conversation and acted upon that. All of the staff were friendly and attentive. I would strongly recommend this restaurant for lunch.

The Aberfoyle Mill has been in business for a great many years now and has always had a solid reputation for quality and service. It's a charming place, full of history and decorated accordingly.
I don't know if the ownership has changed or not, but the experience remains the same.
The offered menu is well balanced and fairly priced. The wine list is decent.
Each of the four in our party reported their meals to be excellent.
The server was polite, efficient and knowledgeable.
So, in a word, I would say the Aberfoyle Mill offers excellent fare at good value, in comfortable surroundings and with efficient, friendly service.
You can't go wrong.

The outdoor area is very pleasant for dining these days. Some tables under a canopy, others have umbrellas. Lots of green all around plus a nice little pond. Service was exceptional, friendly and very casual....made for a very relaxing dining experience.
There are a limited number of choices but I am sure they would all be good. We both had Rotini pasta, butter seared beef tips, spinach, mushrooms roasted garlic & gorgonzola sauce. It was delicious and was exactly what we were looking for....something creative and not too heavy. We finished dinner sharing Pistachio and White Chocolate Cheese Cake....everything was as good as can be.
Pleasant and efficient service from all the staff and especially Victoria, really added to a wonderful evening.

Visited the Mill with two girlfriends for lunch. Asked for outdoor seating and glad we did. Beautiful pond with birds and gazebo. Wished we had gone in the evening because there were vintage stringed lighting everywhere. Caesar salad was amazing. Butternut squash soup was rich and flavourful. The gorgonzola pasta with beef tip was to die for. Menu was upscale and well priced. Great wine menu. Took a stroll across the property to admire the weeping willows. Would definitely go back.

I’ve never had an Old Fashioned made with orange, leman and lime and had the waiter insist it was correct. My bread and appetizer plates had to be exchanged for properly cleaned tableware. A cardinal rule of any restaurant was broken - cleanliness.

Went and ordered prime rib. The manager ( I believe) came to the table to apologize they did not anymore. I understood and ordered fish. Later, the waitress came with our meals. As we were eating, the manager came over with a small piece of prime rib. I was not charged for the prime rib. How kind of them to do this as it was not expected but definetly enjoyed. We sat outside under the canopy. We have also ordered take out. Our favourite is the caesar salad with Mennonite sausage and of course the prime rib.The fish was delicious as my second choice. I miss the creme brûlée. Hope it gets back on the menu.

We stopped in on our way home from a show in Toronto. The food was wonderful. We had the prime rib and duck confit. They have a good menu. Their dessert menu has several items. The chocolate peanut butter cheesecake was excellent!! Max liked after us and he was wonderful !

We had a really great evening, the food was excellent.
The rack of lamb exceptionally good and well cooked. Our server Matthew was very professional, attentive and friendly.
And having a table near the fire place when it's really cold outside it's literally a plus.
Thanks for this amazing evening.
We will be back really soon.

My daughter's wedding was held here. Bird poop on stairs. Carpets in need of replacing. Dirty dirty facility. Front stairs need maintenance. Not wheelchair accessible or accessible for that matter. Some family members could not attend as a result. Servers were excellent !!!! Food was bland. Asked to turn down music several times. Would not recommend for an inclusive wedding.

We have been there many times and will go back. Our recent visit left a little bit to be desired. Food was great. Atmosphere was great. Service is what lagged a little. We sat there with empty glasses twice. Looked like they had a shift change and forgot about us. Usually not like that so hopefully it is a one of. Waited a long time for too many items we wanted to order.

I’m a little picky about my lamb cook and they nailed it. Great flavour and good portion size. Chicken supreme was also excellent. Very attentive service without being overbearing. We will be back!

Amazing restaurant. Old school Mill converted into a restaurant. Nicely done. Delicious food, had the pasta and caesar salad for lunch. Excellent service with perfect ambiance. Worth all 5 stars. Can't wait till they can offer the murder mystery shows back. We'll be the first to buy tickets. Can't wait to be back.

Everything about the Aberfoyle Mill restaurant was special. I like the drive out to the country, the friendly warm greeting, the ambiance inside, the food is special, and the service is friendly, efficient and adds to the pleasure of fine dining......our server Hannah was perfect.
We went for our anniversary dinner and we felt the Aberfoyle Mill made the evening special.
