We spent a day in Revin, cruising with a boat on the Meuse river. It's about half an hour walk from the marina to the restaurant which we found on TripAdvisor. The place is a bit hidden but well worth the visit. Of course nobody speaks any other language but french but we manage to order a delicious meal.

This restaurant was recommended by a local so we had hopes that the food was good and not ridiculously priced. That was correct on both counts. The entree was good and it was followed by a palate cleanser of citron sorbet doused with a house secret liqueur. Very tasty! Both our mains were excellent and in a traditional French style. You could tell the chef ( the wife) was passionate about cooking - it was cooked with love and well presented. I would have loved to sample the dessert du jour of gateau aux fruits but we were full. With small restaurants like these it's the little extras that make the experience - nibbles with the aperitifs, sorbet (amuse bouche) between courses, free bread, complimentary chocolates with coffee. Would definitely recommend and will definitely go back if we pass through here again
