Read a walking book that recommended that the Friendly Farmer was dog friendly. Well it is true that you can sit outside on a wooden bench set under a veranda, but there is no protection from the weather, no clean water for the dog and the water bowl was covered in green algae. When we visited the counter staff were... More

Really welcoming place to eat. Run by a Union of farmers and so marvellous produce. Can have a breakfast, brunch or gorgeous carvery or even just a snack and coffee. Sumptious! Also lots of produce and assorted things to buy, including their own butchery. Sooo worth a visit!

This is absolutely the last time we will stop here. I keep giving this place a second (third and fourth) chance but really, enough is enough. We stopped here this morning on our way home from Norfolk and as soon as I walked in I thought "why do I keep coming back - nothing's changed from the last time". The... More

we decided to give it another chance, on our way too and from Norfolk last week, after been so disappointed on our last 2 visits, and found it much improved, the staff were on the ball and knew what they were doing, we were served quickly and the sausage baps were excellent, the gents loos are still very poor,

We stopped off for a meal while on a day out, we just wanted a hot meal and a sit down, our expectations were low but even so this place failed to live up to them. If I was this hopeless I would sell up and try something else. There was a large queue so I assumed this was a... More

We called in here today to grab a few bits for lunch on the go and to use the toilet with our 2yo. We came here a few years ago when our daughter was a baby and had a lovely experience so expected similar but we were left very disappointed indeed. Toilets - dirty, shabby and unloved. I took my... We almost always stop here when travelling between Norfolk and North Yorks to visit friends - well not any more! We arrived at about 2.20 on a Saturday to find virtually nothing available to eat. First I asked for two egg sandwiches and was told there were none. So I tried sausage rolls and was told the same. I decided... More

Disappointed to say the least we have used this as a stop off for many years but sadly nowhere near what we would have expected from previous visits. Limited menu, dirty toilets, staff that look and seem so fed up and no atmosphere at all........... the demise of what was a brilliant family dining venue such a shame 😒

In fact we where early by 15 minutes by opening time there was some twelve people waiting to get in. We had the full breakfast one of the best I have ever had well cooked and presented very... More
