I last visited the Durham more than 10 years ago and a Living Social offer reminded me of the place. It was still instantly recognisable and the menu had a good choice of 'pub' food at reasonable prices even $10 lunch specials. My wife and I both ordered schnitzels for lunch and weren't disappointed with the size of the meal.... More

This place has quickly becime my favourite local spot. Its decor is old-school English pub and the food reflects this - picture big portions, tasty pub food. Tip: They always over-cook the steak so request it a few shades lighter than you'd usually have it, but even that is standard for an English pub so no complaints here! Their range... More

Popped in for a good old pub grub meal and some good craft beer on a cold, wet Sunday. Not disappointed. Second time I've been here and both visits were excellent. I had the sausages and mash while my partner went for the stew from the specials board. The bangers were real, proper, meaty ones, not the watery supermarket variety... More

This place is excellent for the specials and a really good pub in general. It can be noisy, but that's to be expected, and the service can vary from superb to pretty dire (largely depending on the wait staff) and is very inconsistent.

Have been going to this local for over 5 years and it never disappoints. On a cold, wet winters night there is a warm welcome. We particularly like the 241 on Monday evenings. Great steaks and terrific value. Staff are attentive and welcoming. Beers are cold and a good selection.

Great live music, service is good, good pub food, good atmosphere. A place if the older crowd is looking to get away from the younger crowd.

So wonderful to see a Canberra pub selling something other than Carlton and VB. The Durham have a good tap selection from across the country and the bar staff know what they are talking about. I had a really enjoyable night here, a simple old world pub setting and interesting beers! Definitely worth a visit for a few pints if... More

Good simple pub food. Super friendly bar tender who knows his beers. Fish and chips are decent, but they came super fast. If you like pubs, it's a pub.

I've heard people rave about this place, and I have to say, I was pretty underwhelmed. The patrons seemed really clique-y, as did the bar staff - everyone stares at you as you walk in. The risotto was average, although my husband's chicken parmigiana looked out of this world. The beer choices are really lame, it's all pale ale and... More

Stopped by for lunch. Husband had bangers and mash, he was very happy with his choice. I had the freshwater fish and chips...chips were good, the fish had a strange consistency, very "mushy" although the batter was great. Coffee dreadful. We wont be going back
