We booked for 6.30 pm as we had a 2 year old.We walked in and the restaurant was almost empty and so we assumed we would be served very quickly. WRONG. 2 hours later we had to ask where were our main courses. The front of house apologised profusely and explained that the head chef was not on duty. Finally... More

The Haig has been awesome for the last 5 years for our end of working Friday dinner. The menu has been updated with some new dishes. The reason we always back is hospitality and staff is attentive. Thanks to Lesley and Rob for looking after us and produced a heart warming food. These are some of the dishes we like,... More

We booked a 7pm dinner (there are actually 2 sittings), and received excellent service all night. Food was very good (especially good Pork Belly) and wine selection was available by bottle or glass. A bonus was 10% discount for staying upstairs.

Interstate guests staying at the Capital Apartments - so we went to dinner at The Haig which was downstairs. 7 people for dinner - garlic bread for table was tasty but a disappointment that it was flat bread and not Italian loaf. Around the table we had the scotch fillet cooked to perfection (rare), Gorgonzola gnocchi - very tasty although... More

The Haig is attached to the Capital Executive Apartment Hotel and it was convenient to simply book in and dine without having to think too much about where to go and what to eat. We were not disappointed, the service, the main courses and the deserts were of world class quality. The menu provided a wide range of entrees` mains... More

We used to come here quite regularly a few years ago but stopped after a few meals that were not that appetising. We decided to give it another go but it was pretty disappointing. The menu is a bit odd. They have put in some "bistro favourties" such as steaks and fish and chips and seem to have added odd... More

Thea looked after our table of 9. She was fabulous, funny and efficient. SO nice! We all absolutely loved our meals, and my pork belly was melt-in-the-mouth, to die for. Would have it again next time. The ambience was beaut and we were all able to have a good chat. We were there Friday night, at 7.30pm, so getting a... More
