This is a Canberra staple but it's been a bit inconsistent since moving to the Canberra Centre. The food is either top notch or patchy - gluey rice as an example. I put it down to the sheer volume of meals prepared but for the price, it would be great to get back to the old days.

Too much rice with a small amount of meat and vege. Would Rather having less rice and more meat and vege. We both had an uncomfortable stomach for 2 days after and had horribly smelly burps. We ordered the Gado Gado (not authentic or fresh), Nasi Goreng (too oily, too much rice and little else) and Sambal Ikan (way too... More

The food is always fresh, cooked right there - the guys running this pop up have their routine down and if you buy lunch from here often you will always know what you get. Very speedy service and good value.

My wife enjoyed her laksa, but I found my nasi goring very short on chicken meat and veg, and very high on greasy fried rice. I guess it's what you might expect for $12.00 a dish, but I wouldn't go back.

I was so excited to find an Indonesian option in the foodcourt but found the food very disappointing. The satay was tasty but not a traditional Indonesian flavour and the Rendang had minimal flavour. Next time I might try the options that are cooked while you wait the servings in the bain-marie

How refreshing to find a cheap restaurant in an expensive city that dish out no fuss great meals. It is the cheaper version of the restaurant situated in the food court at the bottom of the mall.

I have travelled and lived in Indonesia. I was keen to try out this restaurant. He is okay but fairly plain Indonesian food. Not bad if you want a simple lunch.

Indo cafe is in the Canberra Centre shopping centre food court in the middle of town. I have never eaten Indonesian food before but would like to go to Indonesia after eating here. The food was fresh, tasty and different from any Asian food i have ever had. Top marks

The Indo Cafe has been delivering cheap, no-fuss and delicious Indonesian meals to those in-the-know for over five years. In that time, their quality and prices have not changed. The $10 lunch-pack comprising a main meal, an entree and a drink is one of the city's great bargains. During lunch hour, you will usually thave to join the fast moving... More

In catering to its mostly Australian clientele, Indo Cafe has had to filter out the spices and chilli in its product but is yummy nonetheless and acceptable to Indonesians. As a family-run business, it excels in its discipline and presentation of its dishes. Its owners are also known for their charitable work among Indonesian and Australian societies in equal measure.... More
