A good array of locally caught wet fish and a superb take away with outside covered seating. Was recommended to us a s the best fish and chips in town and we would agree.

We came to buy a selection of fish and seafood for a BBQ later that day. The choice was first class, and the service good. The fish was very fresh, and we enjoyed the snapper cutlets, the marlin steak and the prawns. Delicious!

We bought prawns and oysters here. Good quality and value was ok. They did not have a large selection of types of prawns but they were fresh and tasty.

Thanks for the nice review. Our selection of prawns is limited to what we catch, which means we can guarantee that they are fresh, local, wild, and tasty. More

Second visit to this iconic restaurant, but sadly my first impressions were reinforced. The fish whilst fresh and beautifully cooked is very over-priced to the point where it is no longer even remotely value for money no matter how well it is cooked. The system they have in place for taking orders is efficient, but expect to wait a long... More

I am sorry to hear about the 40 minute wait. We can be very popular at times, especially on the weekends, but this is too long for our customers to wait and is something that we're working on. Please accept our apologies for the wait. I disagree that we are overpriced though. You get a big feed of fish and... More

This was my first fish and chip experience since emigrating to Australia from the UK/Canada, and I can only hope the standard in the rest of Oz is better than this. Tough, watery fish (we tried the Dory and the Hoki) encased in limp, greasy batter; miraculously they managed to overcook the fish and yet still produce undercooked batter. The... More

I'm sharing your review with the Manager of the Takeaway shop, as I am concerned that we dropped the ball here. Usually the quality of our fish and chips is excellent. I'd like to invite you back for a free order of fish and chips. Please get in touch with me so we can arrange it, my email address is... More

Stopped by the Fishermen's Co-op just before the lunchtime crowd and the snapper was excellent. The crumbing was light and the oil fresh. In fact all the fish there looked great. The calamari was fresh and actually squid rings not mashed together to look like a ring. It got very busy quickly after I arrived and seating outside on the... More

Best cooked fish and chips I have had in so long and I live in a fishing town. Fish was fresh and cooked to perfection.

A must for lunch or dinner, you can pick from fresh seafood and have it cooked , if you are there for lunch get there early not much inside seating , take a stroll around the harbour and just watch the boats come in

The Co-op is an institution in Coffs and one of the few places where you can eat on the water. The food comes in straight for the fishing fleet only a stones throw away so very fresh. Typical fish and chips menu but also grilled fish options. Not cheap, but yummy food.

Thank you for the positive feedback on the quality of our food. It's true that we're not a cheap option, but we're not that expensive either. We sell a great portion of swordfish and chips for only $13.50, or whiting and chips for $12.50. Many of our competitors charge nearly $20 for the same. When you think of our beautiful... More
