My wife and I had a celebratory dinner here on a weeknight. Truly superb dining experience. Firstly, the staff were some of the best that we have seen in any restaurant - attentive, knowledgeable, courteous, professional. As they delivered each amazing dish, we continued to be blown away by the creativeness & taste of the food. Truly memorable!

What an experience! From the quiet greeting at the door this was an amazing culinary experience. Dinner with four friends is usually a chatty and noisy affair, but each course dominated rendering us virtually incapable of anything except murmurings of delight. The scallops with scallop crackle, the duck, the mouthfuls of seafood bursting with flavour were all exquisite. The Chantilly... More

I have been to Sepia 6 times in the last 5 years. The food, service is always great. I love everything about Sepia. I can never fault anything. Always new dishes added, I think in line with the seasons. Last went in December and many new dishes added when I went yesterday. Great wine list, sparkling wine from Tasmania was... More

We have had a lot of great dining experiences in Sydney, but there was only ever going to be one choice for our engagement dinner. Sepia just delivers on so many levels and is one of the few restaurants in Australia to have that same gravitas as its great European counterparts. The experience was similar to my previous review, but,... More

Being an Asian, I personally don't like "fusion" type of Asian food. I don't like how western people try to use Asian food/ingredient into western food, because I personally feel that you have to really understand one's culture and history to make good food. Sepia kind of changed my view on it though. Sepia offers Japanese inspired dishes, which isn't... More

The food at Sepia was amazing. The dishes were extremely pretty and flavours well balanced and clean. Our favourite dish was the textures of milk dessert. We were so impressed with the food we decided to buy the cookbook too. For those who frequent Sepia, you can request desserts that were previously offered on the menu. I would recommend booking... I went to Sepia this weekend for mine and my partners anniversary. We were warmly welcomed when we went in. The room was nice, very new décor and nice buzz in the air. I was surprised by the size of the room and amount of people eating. When we sat down they asked if we would like still or sparkling... More

I'm confused. It's the morning after and I'm feeling grateful for the privelege of shelling out a week's pay for something as ephemeral as a dinner. But I honestly am grateful. Last nights dinner at Sepia was everything I love about modern fine dining. It was only this morning I discovered they won best service this year and I'm not... More

A combined birthday with my partner and a long held desire to go to this restaurant lead me to making a booking. Yes, it's worth it! Blind tasting combined with the wine tasting, nothing to fault at all. The staff were exceptional and the food exquisite. This restaurant is an experience, so despite the bill, the experience makes it great... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
