Great Indian food is a subtle blend of tastes and unlike so many Indian restaurants the three of us were delighted to experience the flavor differences in Lal Qila's dishes. We had a biryani, roasted cauliflower, a cream/nuts/vegetable dish and a chicken masala. All excellent. BYOB. It was noisy and busy on Saturday night - but a great waitstaff.

I love this place, really excellent staff very tasty food, BYO and excellent value. These restaurants have all but disappeared from Sydney's East and it is soooo good that this neighbourhood gem has survived. Cant wait for next time!

The food was great. A bit spicy for my palate. Service was a tat slow, can't blame them, the place was overflowing with diners. Ambience in general was superb as well. Loved the autographed cricket bat at the front

Enjoyed the curry, service was good too. Very similar to a curry from the uk (so quite different to aus). Only negative was the cleanliness of the toilets. Apart from that very good!👍

One of the most amazing Indian Restaurant ever!! Nothing like I expected it to be. Most Indian restaurants serve the few basic Indian dishes with monotonous spicy taste but not Lal Qila. With all halal food, the menu was extensive and has a variety to choose from. When our order arrived, the staff greeted us in a friendly manner. The... More

Heard a lot about Lahori tikka of LalQila. After trying many Indian restaurants and getting annoyed by the repetitive flavors and sauces, this halal restaurant with its delicious food did not let me down. Everything was perfect. Starting with peaceful ambiance mirroring Indian Mughal culture, we were attended by pleasant friendly staff. They presented the specials and even agreed to... More

Undeniably the best Indian restaurant in Darling Harbour and all Sydney. We ordered the famous special chicken handi with naan bread. The naan were soft and yummy. We ate most of them before the chicken dish arrived. The Indian spices and flavors were on-point! Juicy tender chicken cooked with strong traditional Indian spices. The meat was perfectly cooked to medium.... More
