The Fine Food Store (FFS) is a fine place indeed for breakfast/ brunch/ lunch/ tea. The menu is not extensive but just right meeting all that the stomach desires . In keeping with healthy-eating Aussie style, it serves up plenty of fresh Salads & Fruit Bowls & Yogurts & Granola . Equally it offers many choices of sandwiches Ham &... More

Cold brew coffee and white bean coffee, all under one roof! Plenty more to get as well though we came just for the coffee. Great location and ambiance. Will definitely be back.

Obviously does not need any promotion going on the crowds in the intimate in and outdoor dining room. It seems to be well known by the locals and was a little difficult to find, but the large breakfast and great coffees were fantastic. It's in the heart of The Rocks and really not that difficult to reach but we did... More

Went in for brunch after googling, and we were not disappointed. Avo on sour dough toast with ricotta and tomatoes was fab. As was the breakfast panini. Lovely coffee Hit the spot nicely

Really enjoyed this place. Great coffee, great breakfast and sandwich menu. Breakfasted here twice, on my own and with business colleague. I discovered a great new breakfast, poached eggs, sourdough toast, side of bacon ( not a sign of any fat or rind) and avocado, comes with a touch rocket and spinach salad. Superb. Coffee was fab too.

Pretty average for my visit, the bacon was only the short end and like 1 mm thick 3 pieces with 2 eggs standard. Bread was burnt. Also didn't like the idea of a shared jam jar, salt, sugar etc. I am a bit of a germaphobe and thought of all those other people licking their spoons or knives and double... More

Discovered this place a few trips to Sydney ago and fell in love with the food, the atmosphere, and the coffee. It has got to the point where we are selecting accommodation just so that it is near enough to walk there in the morning for breakfast (the honeycomb open toastie is a hit). Thanks for such a wonderful place... More

I took some visitors here for brunch and we were all equally impressed - great food with plenty of variety, superb location very close to Circular Quay, and excellent service. I would happily take other visitors here or return there myself. Be aware there is a 10% surcharge on Sundays.

Situated in the Rocks but in a hidden lane, close to the Old Sydney Holiday Inn, it has a great atmosphere, excellent service and good food. Only downside is lack of table service, so you have to go to the counter to order and pay...

Staying in The Rocks

Neighbourhood Profile
The Rocks
The first residents of the Rocks were convicts and sailors from the old nation. As the oldest neighbourhood in the city, the area's cobblestone streets host more than 100 heritage sites and buildings, including the oldest house in Sydney, Camden Cottage, which was built in 1816. Taste a “midi “ or a “schooner” of beer and dine “al fresco” on the waterfront at some of the oldest pubs in Sydney. The weekend markets at the Rocks are where you can find local artists' hand-made souvenirs, organic food and designer jewelry in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. To enjoy some of the best Australian and international contemporary art, the MCA museum is open every day and select evenings. At the end of a long day of sightseeing, be sure to save energy to dance the night away at the area's many late night entertainment venues.
