The first floor pizza bar has a busy ambience. We were seated after a 20 min wait. Then ordered wine and iced chocolate. I was into my second round of wine when I enquired about my daughter's iced chocolate. That was when the made it and brought it over in 2 min. I'm writing this while we are still waiting... More

We had a great meal here with our two little boys. The staff were so friendly, chatting away to the kids, giving them high fives and making us feel very welcome. The food was good quality and the service spot on. We had the calamari which was lightly battered and very tender. The pizzas were delicious. We also shared the... More

Stumbled across this little dime walking along the harbour in the pouring wet. Absolutely amazing food and service. Would recommend the place to everyone who loves beautiful authentic Italian food.

Whilst on our honeymoon in Sydney we were just looking for yummy comfort food in a relaxed environment and boy did we find it at Appetito! The pizzas are to die for, and all other food we saw coming out looked amazing too. Service was great and for central Sydney slap in the Rocks, it really wasn't bad value. It... More

Visited recently with my family in the afternoon for a late lunch/early dinner, the service was great and the lunchtime specials we ordered were delicious. We will definitely be back.

We had visited Sydney from Brisbane for a quick trip for our daughter birthday. She had a friend over from Singapore so thought we would show her the Opera House, Harbour Bridge & around the Rocks. It was a rainy day so some of the options we were looking for to have lunch were unavailable. We came across Appetito &... More

Nice restaurant close to where we're staying. Sat outdoors on a rainy night under a covered heated area across from the cruise terminal. Very good seafood marinara and mushroom risotto with perfectly cooked scallops . Tarimasu as good as the best we've had or made. Would go again. Staff was exceptional in attentiveness.

We recently visited these premises as it was recommended to us. The interior of this place is very nice and we were seated in the outside area for dinner overlooking the shipping terminal and the street below. We started with garlic Ciabatta which was very nice. Next we ordered a Gamberi pizza which was seafood and there was about 1... More

Thank you for your feedback, Unfortunately we missed the mark with the pizzas- I will pass your remarks to the chef to consider! I'm glad you enjoyed our service however! Don't be afraid to return and next time I recommend my personal favourite pizza- the Bufalina Bianca; a beautiful white base pizza decorated with cherry tomatoes, basil, and of course... More

Staying in The Rocks

Neighbourhood Profile
The Rocks
The first residents of the Rocks were convicts and sailors from the old nation. As the oldest neighbourhood in the city, the area's cobblestone streets host more than 100 heritage sites and buildings, including the oldest house in Sydney, Camden Cottage, which was built in 1816. Taste a “midi “ or a “schooner” of beer and dine “al fresco” on the waterfront at some of the oldest pubs in Sydney. The weekend markets at the Rocks are where you can find local artists' hand-made souvenirs, organic food and designer jewelry in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. To enjoy some of the best Australian and international contemporary art, the MCA museum is open every day and select evenings. At the end of a long day of sightseeing, be sure to save energy to dance the night away at the area's many late night entertainment venues.
