We stopped for a drink before dinner. It is a comfortable bar and the service was good. One thing is if you are American their drinks are about 1 ounce not the 1.5 ounce you may be used too. When I got my whisky it was a small amount so I asked. That is fine once I understood.

Waited over half an hour for burger and chips that came cold. Wrong drink by waiter. When I complained he said he wasn't in charge of the kitchen.

Spent 6 nights in the Four Seasons and went to Grain each night, to meet friends after work or for late evening nightcaps. Good service and great choice of drinks. To eat, the Cuban Sandwich is fantastic and the Deep Fried Ice Cream would be perfect if they removed the crunchy strands of tastless starch it was served on. The... More

We love calling into Grain to have a bite to eat at the end of the day. The service here us excellent, but can be very busy on a Friday night or public holiday. Worth waiting for. Located on the ground floor of the Four Seasons hotel, it's convenient when visiting the Rocks area and Circular Quay. Better than many... More

We stopped here after our Bridge Climb and enjoyed Grain. We arrived around 10:00 pm and they could not have been any nicer. Food was exceptional and the servers were very pleasant. Our server was brand new and a bit slow but her sweet and sincere personality made up for it. Beautiful hotel and bar! Pricey, but what do you... More

The bar offers table service and has windows across the front which open and let fresh air in - a nice touch. The staff are friendly enough and generally very efficient and although an american girl is either undertrained or slack ie reaches across you to serve/remove food from others. The food is very good and especially recommend the chilli... More

After taking our staff to four seasons for our Christmas party I won't ever go back there. We were hunted out of the bar area after after only being in there for 40mins. Apparently everyone was to intoxicated and had been there for 3 hours. I dunno how that was the case though cause at that time we were on... More

This quiet bar is such a find. We stayed at Four Seasons but you do not need to stay there to be able to enjoy this bar. Well worth taking the time to sit at the open windows and enjoy Sydney. Service is excellent.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
