We stopped in for a quick bite in the middle of the afternoon. The food on the train was fresh, the chefs were busy preparing for the evening crowd. The service was good and staff were friendly.

We've been regular patrons of Umi Sushi + Udon whenever we're in this part of town and have always found it to be reliable for great sushi. We popped in early on a Saturday evening (just after 6 pm) yet the offerings on the Sushi train were severely lacking with very few options. We ordered a number of dishes off... More

We dropped in here by chance and went in at a pretty quiet time . The staff were welcoming and quickly set up up at bar area. It was great as you were able to see food prep and select from revolving server. We ordered several dishes all tasty and the sushi was excellent . Would definitely recommend

Have been three times before and will continue to come. Fresh and buttery sashimi, moorish edamame and highly recommend the Knappstein riesling to match. Always order one of their three platters and then a side or three depending on how many people I'm dining with. Service has been overall great aside from one busy night which is to be expected.... There are large empty tables available, but the manager would prefer to keep it empty in case a large group arrives, rather than allow 2 people to enjoy a quick lunch. "If you don't like it, you can go somewhere else". Change your manager, people might come back.

We ate here for dinner a family of two adults and two children. We ate some of their uni sushi, which is hard to find, and a sampling of their sushi off the train. Good quality and fresh ingredients made for a great dinner. We also ordered their grilled fish head and that was delicious! The setting can be rather... More

They were busy, I went at peak lunch time on a Tuesday, inside is the sushi train which looks real good, but I opted to sit outside to draw away my temptation as I wanted to stick to a budget. They have this great lunch meal deal selection with is from around $13 -$17 depending on the dish type and... More

I tend to eat here at least once a week, for lunch given i work close by. Overall i find the staff friendly and the food fresh. Usually they have a lunch special for their sushi, which makes it more affordable. If the special is not on though, it quickly adds up. I do love their spinach noodles, so on... More

We had lunch here .we ordered 3 different handrolls. I asked for extra avocado in my salmon avo roll which cost an extra 50 cents. The food was fresh but i think the rolls were smaller than standard ( I eat rolls a few times a week) .

Hubby and 1 with 3 kids went for lunch and left half way through. After we were seated we were neglected. I had to go and find a menu and no one came to take our order. There were no kid friendly sushi dishes on the train, there was a very limited and disappointing range on the train actually. We... More

Staying in Darling Harbour

Neighbourhood Profile
Darling Harbour
The original docklands of Darling Harbour have been transformed into a tourist mecca with entertainment for the whole family. Cockle Bay Wharf offers dining options from budget to upscale and million dollar views of the harbour. Young crowds gather on weekends for nightlife that ranges from salsa clubs to Dj’s. Families can visit the Chinese Gardens of Friendship or the Sydney Aquarium, one of the largest in the world. The Sydney Maritime Museum and the IMAX theatre are also popular attractions. The Harbourside Shopping Centre is a site unto itself, with hundreds of shops, restaurants and bars. On Saturdays in the summer, the city puts on a spectacular fireworks show along the harbour's shore and there are plenty of other free events during the year - Darling Harbour Fiesta, VIVID’s light installations and the Sydney Festival, just to name a few.
