When you have had enough tasting menus with a passing parade of small morsels that are gone with one bite, this is the place to come for perfection of produce, beautifully cooked and served in a wonderful dining atmosphere. The timing of the courses was wonderful (unlike restaurants in the States where they feel the need to compete with fast... More

We ordered four courses from the a la carte side of the menu. Each course was beautifully presented and there were no dishes we didn't like. A highlight for me was the sea bass. We selected different wines by the glass to suit each course. It was probably the best restaurant we have been too. It made our 30th wedding... More

We recently dined in this fine dining establishment and were utterly impressed! From the time we entered the beautiful dining room we were treated to a world class experience. At a service level it is hard to fault. Glasses always topped up. A side ways glance always acted on. Food delivered simultaneously. It was just so very good. Now the food.... More

Many people have described the beautiful grandness of this restaurant, still I was caught by its nobility. Delicious food, both the taste and the look. Great service rendered by professional and enthusiastic team. Our birthday girl got a surprise cake slice!

We celebrated our 29th wedding anniversary at est. We decided to go with the chef's menu and were not disappointed. We were not disappointed. The wait staff were very diligent and polite. I felt the service was exceptional. The oysters with the vinaigrette at the beginning of the meal is a must. You will love them. Their signature dish the... More

Fine dining, Fine service, classy but (naturally,) expensive. Quality does cost and this is quality. We have been many times and it remains consistently good for business lunches (we have never been for dinner. They had a stunning desert at one stage (might have been called sex on the beach?) which was a classic, it looked like dirt, sand and... More

There was some very delicious food, eg, the pork jowl was unbelievably meltingly soft in texture. HOWEVER, the service was atrociously chaotic. I've had 1000x better service from McDonald's Drive-Thru when they need to take a few minutes before bringing the item out to my car. At our table of three, they managed to get the cocktails wrong. Then they... More

Fantastically tasty food beautifully presented. Every course was excellent both for me and my girlfriend. The portions weren't massive but I was full by the end, I suspect if we didn't have four courses and two sides I might have been a little hungry at the end. The cocktails were excellent and the sommelier was clearly very knowledgable, she was... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
