I took my Boyfriend here for his 30th Birthday for lunch with two other friends on the 1st of April. Everyone really liked the shared cheese boards with the sides (I would recommend the burrata in particular as it is amazing). The quality of the food was good and it was nice that everything was so simple. The selection of... More

My partner and I had a weekday lunch here. It was not busy at all (being 12pm). The food was lovely - we both had buffalo mozzarella (appetiser) and the Cacio e Pepe which I was quite happy with. Very cheesy. There were no specials on the day we were there (a tad disappointing as there isn't a great deal... More

Fab meal with a busy but lovely atmosphere. Bit of a wait to get a table as they don't take bookings but wasn't a problem when there are so many bars nearby. Food is amazing too.

My partner read about this place in a Brisbane newspaper and we decided to give it a go when we came to Sydney. It's a small place, really small and oh so popular on this wet night. I would say it holds 40 people, no. Bookings unless you have a table of 6 and then you need to order the... More

Fresh Buffalo Mozzarella plus pasta, proscuitto, wild mushrooms, zucchini fritters, marinated olives and roast mushrooms were shared amongst our group to great delight. Friendly and helpful staff rounded out our filling lunch!!

We went and ordered the Cacio e Pepe pasta from the cheese wheel as we have had it elsewhere and really liked it. The waiter/doorman criticised us for ordering this as it was cliche in his opinion, and proceeded to argue with us over it. We ordered it anyway. He later apologised and gave us free tiramisu to make up... More

Lovely meal. Buffalo cheese is a standout with sides. Quite enjoyable meal. Lovely atmosphere. Bit of a wait to get a table. They don't take bookings. Definitely will be back.

Service was a bit slow. We had some amazing gnocchi with napolitana sauce. But Cacio e Pepe that they brought us in the big cheese shape and they served us was a smalll portion and pasta was dry. Place was full and pretty noisy. Not many things to choose on the menu.

Thank Ester M

Staying in Darlinghurst

Neighbourhood Profile
Home of the small bar revolution in Sydney, Darlinghurst has more bars per capita than any other suburb. Themes range from American whiskey bars and 1950’s theme bars to hidden bars requiring secret passwords. Oxford Street is the "Gay Capital" of Australia, where gay and lesbian-friendly venues feature “diva shows” and dancing until the morning. Vintage lovers flock to Crown Street, and small designer boutiques can be found along Victoria and Bourke Streets. Dining in Darlinghurst is a gastronomic adventure. Food from all over the world is on the menu, from American ribs to tapas, sushi to gelato and every ethnicity in between.
