Went late on a Saturday when it was absolutely packed. After a couple of minutes a table became free & we were directed to it. The place was busy with diners. We gave our orders and a couple of minutes later the waitress reappeared to tell us one item was no longer available. This news was delivered courteously & apologetically.... More

I walked in off the street for a quick meal. The staff were both welcoming & polite & the service was prompt. My order was the mushroom risotto which was pleasant & filled the spot but was a trifle heavy. The sidewalk table gave a great view of the passing parade on Glebe Point Road.

The menu is extensive and the size of meals are generous. The flavors are great and the coffee good. Well worth a visit and deserts look great.

Fabulous menu at great prices. As a family of 4 with one vegetarian daughter and a meat loving husband we were all happy with our choices. Would definitely go back as there was so many things that looked great. I had Moroccan fritters which were amazing. Large serving was too much for me but hubby happily finished off. All desserts... The fries were absolutely gross. It was probably the frozen fries that you get and reheat. Made me super sick and it was so overpriced at $7. Yuck.

Really good food and pretty cheap. I'm not a vegetarian and order the haloumi sandwich. It was delicious. Others order the pumpkin risotto, lentil burger and haloumi salad. Everything was beautiful and polished off easily. Great spot and good atmosphere.

I had a magnificent veg plate of mushrooms, avocado toast, potatoes, beans and lots of goodness beautifully cooked and presented. The coffee was superb. If I am in Glebe, this would be the first place for breakfast and lunch I'd select.

Make sure to visit this iconic establishment in Glebe the next time you're in Sydney. I remember coming here in the early 80s as a student and spending many a late night talking about revolution and changing "The System"! It is exactly the same. Some good things should never change! Say hello to Charlotte, Becky and Hatti, the best and... More

I love the atmosphere here. It contains a mix of vintage, art deco and retro furnishings (both inside and out). Had a coffee, (proper) chai tea, and some banana bread. All good. S

Staying in Glebe

Neighbourhood Profile
An inner city suburb along the water, Glebe has a deep-rooted sense of cultural history and heritage. It originated as a semi-rural resort for the well-to-do, but has transformed into a student-centric melting pot. Visit Glebe Point Road for ethnic cuisine as standard as Mexican, Indian, Italian and Chinese, or as diverse as Spanish, Bavarian, Polish, Czech and Lebanese. You will find that Glebe is accepting of the eccentrics and aboriginals that roam the streets, integrating students and people of all economic statuses into the multi-cultural fabric that distinguishes this suburb. Glebe Foreshore is a great destination for a leisurely walk along the Bay, and the Saturday market is a great scene for bargain hunters.
