Went to this restaurant with high hopes - left a little disappointed. Not a lot of menu choice and the venue was cold on a Wintery night. It would probably be beautiful and cool in the Summer. Often visit Greek Restaurants in Melbourne so was...More

I organised lunch with colleagues to celebrate a birthday in the group, and we opted to select meals from the menu instead of the banquet. The table was set waiting for our arrival, with friendly greetings from the staff and an attentive waiter. They knew...More

The tables and the carpet and the greek ornaments are probably the same as they were in the Seventies - BUT so is the food. What a treat - home cooking Greek food served with a Metaxa Brandy - three to choose from - the...More

I first visited Diethnes back in the 70's when I worked in the Crystal Palace in George Street. It hasn't change a great deal. Food was very tasty, staff were very friendly and it was reasonably priced.

12 hungry blokes, 12 satisfied bellies. We opted for the $36 banquet, plenty variety and flavor, great Greek beer and attentive table service. Would we go back you bet we would. Great menu and very authentic.

We had hoped to come here for dinner but we were close by at lunch time so changed to a lunch date instead. We found this restaurant a little tricky to find as it is just a door in the wall because the restaurant is...More

The language is everywhere along wit the wait staff, and the food is real. Dungeon on Pitt Street a million miles form Athens but still real. A really terrific food experience and well worth searching out

Our waiter Thanos was wonderful & very attentive. Good humour & great advice on dishes. We had the basic banquet which was definitely not basic; plenty of variety & very delicious! Our advice is the same as Thanos's; don't eat too much bread, or you...More

The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with
energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise

shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners
frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a
dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit
the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle,
