We were at Thai La-Ong for a birthday party in a group of 35 people. They put us in our own private room upstairs and it was wonderful. The staff couldn't do enough for us and the food was plentiful and absolutely delicious. I had a look around at the other areas as well - they have a couple of... More

Went there fairly late after watching basketball, service was very friendly , smiley & inviting. Served very quickly & food was flavoursome, with old fashioned flavours & at good price. Strongly recommend for an impromptu meal with friends in great atmosphere

I come here regularly for the satay sticks which are delicious and generous for the price. There can be a bit of a wait as the place is always packed, and you must carry cash, at least at lunchtime. Great fried my service.

Where else can you have a meal for four for $52? The food is consistently delicious. We have been coming here for years and we love it. Always have prawns and snow peas, bbq pork and panang chicken and it is so tasty and cheap.

I mine and other peoples food and i thought it was very average for vegan food. My table was all vegan people. I thought there was too much onion in my food . Felt like they were making it dominant to fill up the plate with something. The fake meat was ok. Sauce was terrible and not enough food on... More

Very fast and reliably good. This is a favourite for me and my uni friends. Lunch is so cheap (7 dollars) and there is a great variety. Whenever I can choose the restaurant this is where I go if I don't want to spend much. If the weather is nice you can sit on the back deck. For special events... More

Went there for lunch deal $7.5 The place was busy even almost 14:30 The staff was friendly and was quick in service so we had pad see ew and rad naa. Food was delicious and the price was great as we can see how busy they were. Will go back when we pop in new town.

We had the mixed starters, pork belly with stir fried veggies and a red beef curry. Mixed starters were ok, pork belly and veggies were delicious, sadly the curry was a fail. It lacked completely of flavor, it had no spice and the beef was over cooked.

Another well known Thai restaurant in Newtown. We like Thai La-Ong compared to Thai Pothong, the taste of food is more to our liking and good service. You may choose to add spicy to your tom yum soup and it's really hot! We mixed the normal tom yum soup with a more spicy one's, just nice! A lot of mushrooms... More
