Firstly, it's in Newtown NOT Sydney as the address might indicate here. Australia Street, runs off King Street near to Newtown Station. This little cafe is a GEM. Nick, the owner is charming, his food excellent and his service top notch.

Thank you Barmuda for having vegan options, and options that are delicious and filling! Having to order a boring salad that leaves you hungry is the worst and you don't need to do that at Barmuda! YOU CAN EAT REAL FOOD. The coffee and service is lovely, I really need to visit more.

Wow, the bacon was amazing, I don't know how it was cooked, but smokey and delicious and crunchy enough for my liking. The potato fritter was superb, the eggs done to perfection, and the presentation was fabulous. And our waitress was friendly, helpful, and altogether lovely to us. I'll be back, next time I'm in Sydney.

This is a favourite catch up cafe for an old friend and I. We meet here for afternoon tea or light lunch quite regularly, most recently on Thursday this week. The food is good quality cafe food for a reasonable price and coffee is good. I've never been to the upstairs tables but the downstairs area is light and airy... More

The good was the food, generous amounts, good variety. The disappointing were : (1) the incredibly slow service - we were seated upstairs, and just to have someone take your order felt like a minor miracle, then the wait ... and the wait for the coffees and then the food to arrive. A table of two next to us walked... More

If you only come here for a coffee, I am afraid this is my the best place for you. I had coffee here many times and never thought it was good. It's a shame because the breakfasts and brunches are really good with generous portions, the staff are always very nice and the cafe itself it's lovely.

Nice brekky, healthy choices, generous portions. Not everyone makes good coffees though. Had backpackers barista and the coffee was awful. The guy with a bierd makes incredible coffee. Had 2 coffees once when he was around. Love the food and good atmosphere.

A bit pricey, but the food is exquisite. There are vegan options and vegetarian options and everything on the menu is delicious and very tasty. The service is attentive and the location is easy, breezy. Grab a coffee. They make a good brew, and anything with chocolate, like a hot chocolate or a mocha is presented with decadent, rich chocolate... More
