I used to go to the Balkan in the past and always enjoyed the service and the food. This time it was a great disappointment. Entering the restaurant my guest and I were met with such a great noise. The live music was so loud , so I wanted to leave immediately . The waitress convinced me, however, to go... More

Had dinner after movie at Verona Cinema last night. Decor very simple. Both Salmon and Snapper beautiful. Croatian mixed salad so good that my wife took a an extra serving home. The enjoyment of a good meal somewhat diminished by it being overpriced. Left $90. Equivalent in other good seafood restaurants more like $70.

Traditional home cooked food, just as good as mama's. Quick lunch of cevapcici, potato and cabbage salad washed down with Karlovacko pivo - Croatian beer. Palacinke - crapes with walnuts and coffee to finish was just what we needed. First an hour and a bit I felt i was back on the Adriatic coast!

Loads of people love this restaurant. I guess it is because of its reliable authenticity. The staff are friendly and I was welcomed at the door with a big smile. Genuinely pleased to see me. I shared the mixed grill which was enormous. I love the croation ćevapčići sausage. And I love the meat is BBQ and completely cooked and... More

Me and my partner shared a seafood platter and it was just superb! The house wine was ok, not amazing but not bad, if your on a budget. Only thing that kind of let it down was the service, it wasn't the warmest. Other than that a great choice if you like seafood or grilled meats!

This is a Sydney Institution with over 30 years of history. The unique flavour of the male bark grill and traditional meat and seafood dishes or Bubas (Croatian for Grandmother)hand cut potatoe chips. Wether it be the cabbage and potatoe salad or the Sarma or the Scotch fillet on the wood fired grill. You need to make sure no matter... More

Always a awesome feed here at the Balkan seafood ... we had the meat and seafood platter for two and it was definitely enough for two. Great atmosphere in the restaurant and it was a Thursday night. Service was still very good with the table well serviced. Thanks Balkan

Grilled octopus and calamaris were so tender (no disappointing rubbery taste what so ever) and delicious. The seafood spaghetti was so full of seafood that we were (pleasantly) surprised! The Greek salad was the least impressive dish that night but we were happy to have fresh veggies to crunch on. Would be a perfect dinner spot after a movie at... More
