I have enjoyed coming to Brew for at least 10 years and have never been disappointed. It is a very busy little breakfast / lunch café that serves the surrounding office trade in The Rocks rather than a tourist venue but don't let that put you off. Food and coffee are excellent at reasonable prices. Newspapers always available.

Unassuming restaurant in a convenient location which we found perfect for breakfast. My omelette was terrific. No risk. I recommend it.

Our visit to Brew Cafe was very disappointing. We waited to be seated, and eventually we were told from behind the counter to seat ourselves. No menus were brought over so we got them ourselves. The waitress was slow to take our orders even though there was only another 6 people in the cafe. The coffees were weak and the... More

Went here twice while staying nearby at the Shrangri La. Very friendly staff who made you feel most welcome. Freshly prepared food with many choices. Extremely well priced and delicious. We had eggs benedict, big brew breakfast and green eggs and ham. All excellent. Will definitely visit here again.

Close to the Shangri La were we were staying. The food was very good. The staff were so friendly and welcoming even though they knew we were just tourists. They have alot of regulars. The servers even remembered us and what we drink in the morning after only one visit !! Definitley recommend the service, food and price over the... More

Downtown Sydney on a weekend is fairly quiet on the dining front which leaves the quaint but touristy 'Rocks' area as the primary food option. EXCEPT, when you find the Brew Cafe. Easy stroll from the big, downtown hotels, Brew opens early...which helps the jet lagged who are resetting their body clocks. It looks like any other downtown cafe that... More

One of the many coffee/breakfast establishment in the Central Business District. Walking distance from the Four Seasons & the Shangri-La hotels. good breakfast, especially the muffins.

1st, this place is open on Saturday, and I'm glad I decided to come check it out regardless of what is posted on this site. The place is charming and inviting. My breakfast was excellent!!! I highly recommend this place if you are looking a charming local place to have a cup of coffee or grab something to eat.

This is a great spot for a really good cup of coffee, and super fast service. And let's be frank here, at breakfast time good Coffee, with fast service is what you want, although the breakfast options are yummy as well. We'll go back in a flash.

Great value breakfast and friendly staff. Delicious hollandaise sauce on the perfectly-cooked Eggs Benedict. They also serve good coffee. Definitely highly recommend.

Staying in The Rocks

Neighbourhood Profile
The Rocks
The first residents of the Rocks were convicts and sailors from the old nation. As the oldest neighbourhood in the city, the area's cobblestone streets host more than 100 heritage sites and buildings, including the oldest house in Sydney, Camden Cottage, which was built in 1816. Taste a “midi “ or a “schooner” of beer and dine “al fresco” on the waterfront at some of the oldest pubs in Sydney. The weekend markets at the Rocks are where you can find local artists' hand-made souvenirs, organic food and designer jewelry in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. To enjoy some of the best Australian and international contemporary art, the MCA museum is open every day and select evenings. At the end of a long day of sightseeing, be sure to save energy to dance the night away at the area's many late night entertainment venues.
