Hands down my favorite ramen haunt when downtown. The thick and creamy broth of the Menya ramen is a meal on its own. Add to it the charming ambiance and the bustle of the chefs brings me back to Japan.

Nice little restaurant tucked away in Chinatown. Staff really friendly and food was good, also very good value for money. Will definitely go back there again. Bring your own booze if you want to.

Their ramen is good but most of them in large serve. Maybe because its located near UTS. The staffs are polite & quick. It would be good if they except payment by efpost too.

Had lunch here with my partner. Was told to sit on uncomfortable box suitable for two children but not adults. Restaurant wasn't even full so ignored the stupid girl who crammed us in s corner and used the unoccupied seat next to us so wasn't eating on top of each other. Ramen is just ok but not hard to find... More

We were the first in line on one Saturday after visiting the market near by. It may not have been the best place for a 2yo but even my son enjoyed the noodles, so not a problem there. The tonkotsu base was great and not too heavy. While my wife had the stock base and was very different which was... More

My partner and I have been coming to Menya Noodle Bar for about three years now. He found out about it via a work friend and we've been coming ever since. We always get the Tori Katsu Shoyu Ramen. We can't get over how amazing it is! The chicken is cooked beautifully and the taste of the broth is always... More

Every single visit to Sydney means a meal or four at this place. The food is affordable and very tasty. I like that there are so many options on the menu but it's not overwhelming.

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
Tiger-flanked archways on Dixon Street mark the entrance to the “little Asia” of Sydney. A walk through Chinatown is a feast for the senses where aromas, tastes, sounds and visions of dancing tigers transport you to a different world. Chinatown visitors can expect a melting pot of Asian food at the neighbourhood's specialty delis and groceries. From yum cha to handmade noodles, BBQ ducks hanging in the window to Asian sweets and bakeries, there is something for all tastes. Paddy’s Markets is the largest flea market in Sydney where you can find souvenirs, clothing, gifts and fruit and vegetables at unbeatable prices. At night, Chinatown comes alive with entertainment including theatre, nightclubs and bars that are open until the early morning.
