Maybe it's me, but I'd rather have eaten take away from any smaller sushi restaurant. This place was over priced, had a fishy smell, and we had an issue with getting more water. I would not go here again. I don't believe the food quality and service are the as high as the restaurant is trying to reflect.

Loved eating here and the food was fantastic. Reasonably priced and great atmosphere. We ate here on three separate occassions and the service was efficient and the staff were friendly and helpful.

We really enjoyed all the rolls we got and the dumplings were delicious! Also the seating and service was quick and friendly. Sake is love.

Expectation of high quality food in a very pleasant restaurant, backed by some overseas experience, disappointed by the quality of food presentation, Evidence of food prepared by casual staff but not trained sushi chefs, There is plenty to choose from BUT lacks finese. Edible, interesting, OK for those who enjoy a night out in the city with friends but not... More

Having not ventured to Sushi Tei for some time I visited for a quick lunch and was reminded on what I'd been missing. There's a warm and friendly atmosphere with a mix of business and leisure diners. Staff are polite and very attentive. The food is outstanding and as good a quality Japanese as you'll find in Sydney. Dishes are... More

The food is always good here, and you will never regret venturing outside your usual orders and trying new recipes. However, the restaurant management decided to save some money by hiring only a couple of untrained people to look after their customers. So, even with the room half empty, the two or three waiters will always scramble to take care... More

Been a few times and it's ok, you don't feel great that you've visited nor do you feel cheated. Could be so good if they wanted to be great but it's pitched at average. The details aren't mastered: Wasabi from a packet etc. Best place probably the sushi bar. The zen box ok.

It remains one of my gavourite Japanese restaurants. The food is always of a good standard, as it was after a visit to the Art Gallery in the nearby Domain. They never let me down...

Staying in Sydney for business I was dining alone and just wanted something quick, no fuss and of course, tasty. Had not been here before but I will certainly be back. The restaurant was busy and I didn't have a reservation but I was seated quickly and within a few minutes I had a Kirin in one hand and a... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
