Went on a Sunday night and the place was packed. Many people waiting out front to order take away. Dishes had great flavour; only negative comment was the crab in the curry was not great quality. Service was efficient & friendly.

Previously one of my best Thai restaurant, visited this time when I'm back in Sydney, the food doesn't taste as nice as previous year. Might try out again one more time to check did the quality improve.

A fantastic Thai restaurant in the heart of Thai Town. Fresh ingredients which packs a flavour punch. Is very busy and popular so if you want to be sure of a table, make sure you book. Highly recommended.

This is by far my favourite Thai restaurant in Sydney. The atmosphere is cosy, even if a little on the noisy side, and has a real sense of traditional Thai culture. The food is lovely, fresh and reasonably priced. The service isn't always great and it's hard to get he attention of the wait staff. The restaurant also gets very warm... More

The food here is better than what you find in Bangkok. Rich tasting delicious curries with a generous amount of meat. We tried the massamam curry and curry noodles. This location is cool with exposed brick, open kitchen and high ceilings. Expect to wait a bit at almost until time of the day and late night.

My son and I ate at Chat Thai prior to a show at the Capital Theatre. The wait was about 15 minutes in a queue at 5pm on a Sunday evening. It was well worth the wait as the food was absolutely delicious and was served within ten minutes of us ordering. We had Emerald Duck ( the meat so... More

The Som Dtum Thai is everything it should be, salty, sweet and spicy. I recommend going medium, its quite spicy but the balance is just perfect. The pork ribs were sweet, rich and porky with a zing coming from the nam jim jaew sauce. Chicken and rice braised in turmeric and five spice with green chilli and garlic sauce was... More

Read the reviews on TripAdvisor and this restaurant did not disappoint. Waited outside for about 5 minutes for a table. Once seated we had fast, friendly service and the food was DELICIOUS! Would happily eat there again.

You need to book or you could be standing in the street for quite a while. Food is incredible and well priced.
