It wasn't even that hot outside, but it was so so hot inside the restaurant we couldn't wait to leave. We asked them to turn the air con up big they wouldn't. The service was pretty cold and unattentive. The food was OK, but certainly had much much better Vietnamese in Sydney.

Went here for lunch for the first time in ages and ordered my usual vermacilli rolls with noodles. What a disappointment. I didn't even finish them they were dry and flavourless. I ordered some tea but that never materalised.

We have experienced the amazing food Vietnam has to offer in Vietnam. Never have we been able to find anything as good in Sydney - UNTIL NOW. Tre Viet had the most incredible food. Salt & Pepper squid was the best I have ever eaten anywhere. The Papaya Salad perfect, the Vermicelli Salad to die for! Service was friendly and... More

I was there on a busy Friday night but we got a table. The food was nice and service was fine. The restaurant was a bit noisy as it was busy and the tables are close together.

I had a craving for Vietnamese and in Newtown I though I'd give Tre Viet a go. I should have been alarmed at the menu it was quasi Chinese quasi Thai and Vietnamese would have been my last guess. The food was really bad and the service was just strange. I hate it when restaurants insult our appreciations for a... More

The wife and I popped in for lunch. The welcome was good and the place was moderately busy. To start we shared some chill salt tofu which was really nice and crispy with a good salt and chilli hit. We then had a banana flower salad which was my favourite, it was so crunchy, vibrant and tasty and a caramelised... More

Had Sunday lunch here and was impressed. Restaurant is fairly small but we were comfortable. We had the Vietnamese pancake, pho, spicy prawns and crispy skin chicken and as a regular visitor to Vietnamese eateries, I thought the quality and flavours of all the dishes was excellent. As I live nearby, I'll be returning soon

Went to Tre Viet for dinner on a busy Saturday nights. Service was efficient, probably too efficient. Had just received our generous sized entrée when the mains arrived. Food was fresh and large servings at a reasonable price for inner city. Duck salad delicious. Have had better PHO
