We came here at 9:30 in the evening for a quick Thai dinner before the restaurant closed. It was undoubtedly the worst Thai food I have ever eaten. The duck curry tasted like it had gasoline in it; it tasted like the smell of gas. Disgusting. Then the friend fish was Ok, but the sauce accompanying it was clearly made... More

I went back to get a beef curry. I used to love this place. There was hardly any meat. Very greasy and poor quality meat. I was quite disappointed.

I have been dining at this restaurant for over 25 years. The food has always been excellent, and the service is great. You need to book, as it is very popular. Some dishes like the silken tofu are unmatched elsewhere in Sydney. Many of the dishes are outstanding. There are banquet options for large groups. All the seafood options, fish,... More

Longstanding quality and taste sometimes has its detriments; the longevity and success of Thai Nesia requires a reservation to ensure a place at a dining table. Likewise, insisting your main courses are served in one go is essential to avoid you and your guests eating in relay fashion. Complaining merely generates glares and a sour look from the management....

Another big winner in my books. We went with a large group and had the banquet (minimum 5 people) It includes money bags, steamed scallops, massaman curry, green curry prawns, soft shell crab, amongst the dishes to share. Every one dish was exceptional in flavour, balance, texture and presentation. My favourite was the green curry prawns. But I could not... More

We have been eating here for years and love it - authentic ! In Potts Point the spice has gone from Thai dishes - a pity - and here it remains and is so wonderful - the scallops are always such a brilliant start and we never have had a bed meal there - please go !

We were a group of 9 people and had the set course dinner @ $40/head and we found the servings to be very small and not enough for 9 people. Food was good but just very small servings. Service was very good.

I have been going to this restaurant on and off for 25 years and recently started to go back again... the food is amazing, service is just as you would expect from a Thai restaurant ...but the food is the star...another great place for any occasion ..you wont be disappointed. And if you cannot make dinner they have just started... More

After our disastrously rushed (by them not us) dinner at Long Chim a couple of weeks ago we returned to one of our old favourite Thai restaurants last Friday (28th October 2016). For the three of us I ordered four starters and three mains plus berry rice to share. Contrary to the usual Thai tradition we were actually asked if... More

Small and intimate, but oh my its amazing. We had the set menu, and I couldn't fault one mouthful. BYO so it wasn't only the best thai food its also so well priced. Will be back for sure.

Staying in Darlinghurst

Neighbourhood Profile
Darlinghurst
Home of the small bar revolution in Sydney, Darlinghurst has more bars per capita than any other suburb. Themes range from American whiskey bars and 1950’s theme bars to hidden bars requiring secret passwords. Oxford Street is the "Gay Capital" of Australia, where gay and lesbian-friendly venues feature “diva shows” and dancing until the morning. Vintage lovers flock to Crown Street, and small designer boutiques can be found along Victoria and Bourke Streets. Dining in Darlinghurst is a gastronomic adventure. Food from all over the world is on the menu, from American ribs to tapas, sushi to gelato and every ethnicity in between.
